I am behind!!! On my writing on A SEAL Wolf for Sale. We had storms yesterday and I had to get off my computer.
And I have some things coming up: A book set with a bunch of authors who have won all kinds of awards, three of which are USA Today Bestselling authors, including me! More adult paranormal and fantasy books. And another book set with strictly YA faery stories. I think both of them will be a lot of fun. We’re working on the details for both right now, and I have two conferences coming up that we’re working together to come up with some things.
I love authors! In most businesses, we would be considered competition. But with authors, we unite to work together to help each other out and that’s really a wonderful concept. I’ve been asked a million times to join in book sets with other authors, and I’ve said no because I’m swamped with other stuff going on all the time. But I finally said yes to these two projects–one because I’m fascinated with these award-winning authors, and the other, because it’s all the world of fae, and I think it’s really important to have a themed box set to help promote the same.
So in the coming weeks when I have sales links, I’ll share them here. 🙂

An apprentice of the mage they had destroyed earlier, now threatens Inherian once again. But she must destroy the mage’s apprentice, and she cannot do so without the training. She must use the magic she has learned to discover a way to defeat the apprentice before it is too late.
Mexia has already done much more than most school- trained mages when she and her companions had gone in search of the scepter of salvation. But now one of the apprentices of the evil wizard they had destroyed, has stolen his spell book and plans to take up where he had left off, and she has to try and stop him.
Mexia believes the only way for her to defeat the mage is to become school trained like he was with the eventual goal of becoming a high wizard–the first of her kind in Inherian. But the current headmaster denies her entrance because she’s a woman. Though if she can get the former headmaster’s recommendation, she may attend.
And that’s the beginning of the trouble.
First, there’s the wizard.
Then, the immovable headmaster.
And then, the circle of misfortunes.
It all goes downhill from there…
I still need to write the third book!
But in the meantime, I’m off to work on A SEAL Wolf for Sale.

I always love the way you talk about books and your generous enthusiasm for the written word. I’m not sure how you’ve managed to write so many books, having only has one published and one being mangled by the editors
Thanks so much, Peter!!! I wrote, and wrote, and wrote, and submitted, and submitted, and submitted, and was rejected, and rejected, and rejected for years. When one book was rejected, sometimes as much as two times, I’d set it aside, and work on the next book, knowing THIS book would be THE ONE. Even after some publishers picked up my work, I was busy on the next book and the next, never waiting to see what happened to THAT book. When I sent off a book for consideration, I didn’t wait for rejection, or acceptance. I just would begin another book. It kept my mind off the waiting, the nail biting, and such.
I LOVE to write, to tell stories, and to share them. Some publishers are great. They can help to get us out there. But with independent publishing, we have a chance to offer books that publishers felt wouldn’t garner enough of an audience. That means that some of my books, that are highly successful, would never have reached my readers at all. It gave me great joy to finally publish some of my books that “had no market”–but don’t tell that to all the readers who love them. They would just smile and say, “Right.”
I’m what they call a hybrid author. I just learned that. I didn’t know there was a title for us. Anyway, it’s an author who is both traditionally published and self-published. It’s great. It’s the best of both worlds. 🙂
