Max, the Havanese, was only a year old when I took this picture. He wasn’t supposed to leave the backyard. A few times, the dogs got out, but Max would really run off. Tanner wouldn’t. Even though he’s the alpha of the two, he would stay near me or come when I called. Inside, Max is always on my lap, so it was interesting how different they were when outside.
Now, at 11 years of age, they will go out to greet the family, but come right back in. I haven’t tried to have them in the front yard with me without a leash. If they see another dog, they’ll go after him. If it’s small dogs, one lady had 5 small dogs she walked, my dogs will want to meet up with them. But someone had a big dog and they tried to chase it off. Ugh.
I had the grandkids overnight so we’re going to the mailbox, grocery store, and then to the pool for a couple of hours. We’ll have lunch at the pool.
Hope your day is going great!!
