His Wild Highland Lass–Coming out in Audiobook Next Year!

So I hired a narrator to narrate the audio book for His Wild Highland Lass. Hopefully, I will have more done with her if this one works out well. Love the Scottish brogue and she really is from Scotland. Two of my early titles were with a publisher and I have the rights back so need to do the audio books again.

I could listen to a Scottish brogue forever.

His Wild Highland Lass is a prequel to the Highlander series so it comes before the first book in the series starting with Winning the Highlander’s Heart. In His Wild Highland Lass, James MacNeill is only a little boy.

Lady Sorcha Barclay has fled her sister’s husband’s castle because of his unwanted advances, except men steal her horse, and she makes the mistake of not keeping to the cover of the nearby forest. An awe-inspiring circle of standing stones capture her attention and she captures the attention of the laird who owns the land.

Laird Ronan Daziel takes Sorcha to his castle to protect her and give her a home, but before long, he wants much more. He’s duty-bound to take a wife whose clan wishes an alliance with his. So why does he long to have something more? Everyone loves the lass just as much as he does. But he has pledged his loyalty to his clan and taking Sorcha to wife could lead to battle on several fronts. How can he not take her for his own when she stole his heart from the first moment he laid eyes on her near the ancient standing stones on his lands though?

It’s been too long since I’ve written a medieval Highland romance. I have two stories started and two Highland wolf medieval stories started too! And Bear in Mind is on it’s way, contemporary bear shifter story. I just need to settle down and pick one to finish.

I’m also listening to narrator auditions for Dawn of the Jaguar. I love two of them, so trying to decide which to go with.

It’s hot again here–84 yesterday, supposed to be 32 this weekend, but going back up next week, so unpredictable weather! I’m still picking tomatoes from the garden and the azalea is in bloom again!

Have a great day! I’m off to do something with mine!

Her Highland Hero
Lady Isobel is a Norman laird’s daughter, living near the Scots border where her father, Lord Pembroke, is trying to keep the peace. But her mother was a Highlander and the man Isobel loves most of all is Laird Marcus McEwan, who has been bringing news of her mother’s people for years. But now Isobel’s father wishes her wed to an English nobleman, who will carry on his title. Isobel will wed no other man but her heart’s desire—and that is one braw Highlander from her mother’s homeland.
Laird Marcus McEwan has loved the feisty lass forever. For years, Marcus has tried to convince Lord Pembroke to allow him to wed his daughter. But the Norman lord will not allow it. Then ambushes and murders make it too dangerous for Marcus to reach a peaceful resolution.

Nothing goes as planned and keeping the lass for his own is fraught with danger, as they try to determine who was behind the killings. Isobel and Marcus will do everything in their power to ensure they are together as they have always vowed they would be.

And we have an all-star cast of authors joining me in another FB party, this one for Hero of a Highland Wolf, more on that later. Still waiting on a couple of the authors to decide on times.

Then my roommate for the conference coming up after this next one informed me we could be drinking champagne while I posted. What???

Ack!!!! My release date is on the day I’ll be at another conference. The last time that happened, I made USA Today Bestseller. So maybe another miracle???

Okay, off to get a million things done. Have blog tour stuff, promised I’d make 50K by this weekend on Call of the Cougar, and need to pack.

Have a super great Saturday!!!

And to everyone who dropped by to party or already bought the new releases, thanks so much!!!

Note to self: Quit Overbooking.

🙂

I need a keeper.

Terry Spear is one of many authors that writes about shifters. She is also one of my favorites! This month she released Silence of the Wolf “Heart of the Wolf” #13 another great shifter series. Check out my review!

4.5 Wolf Stars!!
Silence of the Wolf is book thirteen in Terry Spear’s Heart of the Wolf series. Terry takes us back to Silvertown territory where Darien, Jake and Tom run the pack and town. We get mystery, adventure and passion.

I really enjoy Terry Spear’s written style the ease in which it flows. How I can just get pulled back into her wolf series! I love the pack dynamics created in this series. They center on family, doting on the young and welcoming of others. The characters always complaint each other and I enjoy seeing characters from previous books make an appearance.

Just drop by Angela’s site to enter for a chance at a book, and have fun!

Next up is The Highlander just came out in audio! I knew it was supposed to be available soon, but just learned it’s already out! So here are the links!

Anora, the shepherdess, finds a half-naked man in her bed, so what’s a woman living alone in a cottage in the Lowlands of Scotland supposed to do? Prod him with her pitchfork to chase him off! Only the man is not just a traveler seeking her bed for a rest-but a wounded Highlander, who fights back, swinging his sword! Niall MacNeill is searching for a Frenchwoman of nobility to escort to his cousin’s castle for safekeeping, when he and his friend, Gunnolf, are attacked by another Highland clan, seeking the same woman. The other Highlanders wish to sell her to the highest bidder-English or French-it does not matter. Niall takes refuge in a sheepherder’s cottage to heal up from his wounds and discovers the shepherdess taking care of him may very well be the woman he seeks. He has no intention of doing anything but what his cousin requests of him-ensure her safety on their way to Craigly Castle-but when the lass so bravely wields her pitchfork at him, he is thinking of other, more interesting possibilities.

Okay, and third, the 200 year old skeleton. You know I write urban fantasy, right???

Well, I’m trying to learn how to remove the skeleton from the lake without the sheriff’s department getting hold of it. 🙂

Research can be fascinating. I learned about how hundreds of cars were being removed form lakes–really sad, from joy riders, to those filing insurance fraud because they couldn’t make car payments, to some that held human remains and would solve some cold cases. It’s amazing what gets dumped in the lakes, rivers, etc.

But divers found a 10,000 year old skeleton of a boy in an underwater cave and it appeared it was a “burial” of sorts, but the bones were really well preserved.

No wonder it’s taking me so long to write this book. 🙂

But it’s fun doing the research too. 🙂

Off to write and… research. Happy TGIF!!!

Oh, any Underwater Criminal Investigators with specialties in underwater body and evidence recovery out there?

Book Marks for the Highland Series

I have only the one elf book out at this time, started the second one, and found covers I loved for 3 more. 🙂 So I made up a book mark, to remind myself I need to write them.

On the Highland ones, I do have all the books either available for sale, or as in the last one The Highlander, I’ll be publishing it Oct 21. Preorders at B&N, Kobo, and Smashwords available before that.

I’m still rereading it now, so off to work!!!

Have a super lovely, Sunday!!
