Goblin and the Raven

Created the goblin with Daz3d and the background and other elements are from Oscraps.

My little granddaughter said he was a prince goblin, where’s the queen? lol

Anyway, I managed to get 3,000 words on Dawn of the Jaguar. It has word count, just trying to finish it up. I was working on the stuff for Shifters and Mistletoe and we’ll be announcing links and such tomorrow.

I still need to write up the short and longer synopsis for mine, A United Shifter Christmas. And I want to proofread it one more time.

Okay, since little one is here, I’m off to do things with her. She was sick on Tuesday, figure it was a 24 hour bug. She was fine Wednesday and seems fine today.

Smilodons at Play

I’ve always been fascinated by so many things, but when I was young, I read everything I could about prehistoric life, and cavemen and their world later. I love all things prehistoric. But they’ve discovered so many new animals, new ways of thinking about them–feathers, rather than just leathery skin, its fascinating.

These are Smilodons. As you can see, one isn’t really in a playful mood. The other is. Such is life.

I’m off to get busy! I had set my preorder date for November 2 on Dawn of the Jaguar, but I wasn’t giving myself enough time to really get it done, especially with all the other things coming up–edits on other books, etc, so I backed it off to November 30th.

House in the Woods

I created this with an abandoned house and autumn woods I purchased from Shoot for the Moon, and added some other items, including the jack-o-lantern and lamp post which are my pictures.

I’m only 73 pages through proofing on Christmas Wolf Surprise, deadline looming. I was adding and rewriting some scenes and I think I have it now. I have 160 pages to go, but getting my wrist x-rayed this morning and hoping that the doc will say the bone is healing and I can remove the splint. My wrist is still swollen.

Okay, off to proof one chapter and then go to the doctor.

Steampunk Art

I am working on Dawn of the Jaguar, didn’t get any word count yesterday. A whole bunch of a later part of the story was cut, and I probably will be rethinking what I still have, but it will get there. So I added 2,000 words but took out just as much.

Right now I have 2 October 1st deadlines, so working on those.

Dragons in Art

Sometimes you just have to start off your morning with dragons and then go from there.

I managed to get to 19K yesterday on Dawn of the Jaguar, then got request for marketing materials for Billionaire Wolf. It looks like they’re pushing it back to 2023. It was the book I finished July 1st and should have been out next year.

Also, got beta critiques so need to do those edits on Christmas Wolf Surprise. Both the marketing materials and this book are due Oct 1. And I had hoped to get Dawn of the Jaguar done then too. We shall see.

Dawn of the Jaguar Preorder

Erin Chambers is leaving the FBI to join her father in his Big Cat Investigative Agency. She loved her job, but she wants to be closer to her father and have more freedom to run as a jaguar shifter when she can. But she knows dealing with her dad’s sole private investigator, Jason Biggerstaff, is going to take some work. He’s a hot jaguar and turns up the heat whenever he’s around her without any effort at all, to her consternation. But he’s not fond of the FBI, and she and he butt heads all the time. He’s been like a son to her father, so she knows he was thinking he could take over the business one day. That’s not happening.

Jason Biggerstaff is busy with investigations, not thrilled that Erin is joining the agency, but all that changes when they are embroiled in missing kids’ cases, their usual run-of-the-mill investigations, and she’s really good at her job. No matter how much he fights the attraction he has for her, it’s a losing battle. What starts out as just them handling their usual cases, turns into something worse—a jaguar shifter in trouble and they must save him without landing themselves in a worse mess than they already are, which includes dealing with this growing need to take their relationship to something they never bargained for. Well, you know how the best laid plans go. They don’t. lol

But I’m still on track. I used my day with my granddaughter, after she left, that is a non-word count day to finish editing While the Wolf’s Away and turned it in this morning to my editor, though I had hoped to get more done on Dawn of the Jaguar. Which is what I’m working on next! And all day.

It’s supposed to be 59 this morning, feels like 40 to me! It feels wonderful.

I did manage to set up Dawn of the Jaguar as a preorder on Amazon, and will be doing the same with the other bookseller sites hopefully today.

Okay, I’m off to work on the story, 2,000 word goal, hope to make 3,000.

So the novella is coming out November 2. I’m over halfway done on it. I’m still trying to get my 2,000 words per day done, except for granddaughter days, but I received marketing stuff requests I need to work on for Jingle Bell Wolf and I received edits I need to do for the white wolf book: While the Wolf’s Away. I’m 1/3 of the way done on it.

I’ll have preorder links on all the bookselling sites for Dawn of the Jaguar soon. All right, I need to get a little more editing done on the white wolf book before my granddaughter is dropped off! Hope to have it finished tomorrow and back to working on jaguar.
