The Jester Boy

You see, he’s half in and half out of the book. That means he’s soon to be a real boy. But the only way for that to happen is if the author finishes the book!

I’m slowly working on Wolf Heir. I think I’m up to 22K.

I have three whole days of no medical appointments, yay! But I took a long walk with my son, daughter-in-law, and baby, and had dinner with the entire gang last night. My 4-year-old grandson approached the baby and said, “Hi!”

I picked up my 8-year-old granddaughter from school, and she played with the baby, making him smile. He’s only 4 months old, but she did say that it took a lot of energy to play with him. When my daughter and her family prepared to leave, she said it was bathtime. My grandson raced to the guest bathroom and had a fit when he couldn’t bathe at Grandma’s house.

I promised him I’d have him stay overnight when I was feeling better, and the same with my granddaughter. We’ve all been wearing masks. I hope that’s enough to keep me from getting sicker.

I have two days left on chemo. I will gladly be off of it for a couple of weeks. It’s giving me awful rashes.

Everyone is sleeping, so I’m off to work on the book some more. 🙂

Pretty in Purple

These are the other geraniums I picked up. Love purple. Can you tell? They had dark purple too, but I went with the more vibrant lighter color.

Managed to pick up the kids at the airport, got to hold the baby, yay! He’s so adorable. We’ve been wearing masks. They picked up colds and I can’t afford to get it. And made it to my book work appts on time. I also couldn’t sleep that night and wrote another 2,000 words on Wolf Heir, though still typing up the notes.

We’re off to take a park walk with the baby.

I’m a Vampire!

Yep, chemo has turned me into a vampire. I need blood. 🙁

I’m off to proof more of Protecting the White Bear. I’m up to chapter 17!

Thunderstorms and Rain

Yay! With our hot temperatures and no rain, my flowers were wilting. I was trying to water, but couldn’t get to everything. So after midnight, we had some loud thunderstorms and pouring rain and everything is perfectly drenched this morning.

Doing chores, my granddaughter comes over for a few hours, then I’m off for more bloodwork. Since I’m in the 2nd week of the chemo, my own blood counts will probably be dropping. 🙁 But it’s to be expected because the chemo attacks everything.

I don’t feel as nauseous this morning, three days after finishing up one of the other chemo pills for the cycle, and I think it’s the culprit in making me feel bad. At least I hope. I still have a week and a half to go on this last chemo pill before I get a week’s break.

I’ve been proofing Protecting the White Bear and am up to chapter 5. Hope to get some more done today again.

Happy Easter!

I’ve been busy organizing the pantry and another kitchen cabinet, vacuuming the car and washing baby bedding, getting ready for my son and daughter-in-law and baby to arrive.

It’s my day to relax from medical appointments and get a million more chores done. I had a medical appt even on Saturday and we did our Easter egg hunt and had corned beef for lunch after that, so it was a busy day.

I put out all the plastic Easter eggs and assorted other things and I see Max trying to eat something. It was a caramel chocolate candy in a wrapper. So I get that away from him and glance at Tanner. He’s got the little yellow plastic egg in his mouth, wagging his tail like crazy. Goofy dog. Co-conspirators.

I’m finally sitting down to write the post and get ready to work on a book. 🙂

Everyone Needs a Fairy Garden

Disposal Rusted Through

It’s nearly Easter!! And my son and DIL and baby are coming soon, and my disposal is leaking water.

So I spent the last couple of days cleaning out the cabinet under the sink, drying it, drying the rubber mat I had on it, though the water leaked under the mat, cleaning the rubber mat, and then getting clear plastic containers to store all the cleaners and such in.

I tackled the bathroom, too. I still need to work on the other, but I found that I have four bottles of hydrogen peroxide, probably a thousand bandages, tons of body lotions, five containers of CLR, etc.

Does that ever happen to you? You can’t find something so you buy it again? And again? And again?

So now I have to look in the plastic tubs to get what I need and I will see I have ALL that stuff so no need to get more of it.

I did manage to get 1000 words written on Wolf Heir while I was at the hospital for 4 hours and typed up the notes when I got home last night.

The plumber is coming this afternoon to replace the disposal. Then I can put all the plastic tubs under the sink and voila! It’s neat and tidy!

Yellow Roses Transplanted Last Year

Miniature Yellow Roses–I had transplanted it last year to a sunnier location. But it spit in two, so I have two yellow rosebushes now. The other is in a different location.

I finished editing Protecting the White Bear last night, but want to do a final proofread. And I’m on the run again.

The Mums are Emerging!

They’re not just for fall. I enjoy them in the spring and summer too. And the orange mums are just beginning to make their appearance!

I ended up writing 3,000 words on Wolf Heir yesterday, and so it’s up to 11K now. Yay!

I’ll work on Protecting the White Bear again today to try and get more of the edits done. I need to finish it!
