If you’re wondering what I’m up to all the time: Releases coming up for this year! The schedule was just set. Feb 26, 2020 You Had Me at Wolf (Wolff Bros of Silver Town) Mar 31, 2020 10th Anniversary of Legend of the White Wolf (new novella included) May 26, 2020 Night of the Billionaire Wolf (Billionaire She-Wolf this time!) Sep 29, 2020 Joy to the Wolves (Red Wolf Series) Oct 27, 2020 10th Anniversary of Seduced by the Wolf (new novella) Nov 24, 2020 10th Anniversary of Wolf Fever (new novella)
And that’s a wrap for SB releases for 2020. I should also have Vampire Redemption out this year and maybe a couple of other books. I need to write the novella for Wolf Fever now, just did the Letter to the Reader and I’m over halfway done on Highland Wolf (2021 release). I don’t have the covers for Joy to the Wolves, the 10th Anniversary copy of Seduced by the Wolf and Wolf Fever yet, but will show them off when I do.
I only managed to write the Letter to the Reader for Wolf Fever and 400 words on Highland Wolf last night. Little one is a handful and she didn’t go home until later than usual. So today is writing day, though I need to drop the dogs off at the groomers and I need to get some more food as my cupboards are bare. Which translates to: I’m running out of potatoes and chocolate. We all have to have some priorities in life.
I need to read Wolf Fever over again, since it’s been 10 years since I wrote it and one of my fans said I might write about Ryan’s subleader, Granbury. I’ll have to see what I said about him.
I was also trying to figure out my Heroine’s brothers’ names in the Highland Wolf. She has 3. I’ve only mentioned one of them by name in all the threads throughout the stories in the series. That’s because I end up with way too many characters in my stories and too many to follow along. So since she’s been a secondary character, and so has her brother, I didn’t mention the others. Now I need to. Which is fun because I can create all new characters.
I managed to get 4,000 words, while taking pictures of the birds in the rain. It rained, and rained, and rained yesterday. It was wonderful. We haven’t had much lately and it’s so nice to have a change of pace. Particularly since I wasn’t going anywhere, and the lighting was perfect for bird photography.
Yes, starlings are bad birds, like blackbirds and cowbirds that chase away all the other birds for the food. But this one, maybe it’s checking things out before it tells all its other friends to come and get it, but it didn’t bite. And it left, but not before I managed a few shots of it. I’ve never seen one before, so that’s always fun.
Okay, Little One should be here any second, and I’ve got to get ready. Non-word count day. But maybe I’ll get a little done when she leaves.
Sometimes I’m lazy. I worked all morning on weeding and putting down bark mulch, wrote my 2,000, wanted to get 4,000, added another 500 instead and so ended up with 2500 and watched The Duchess, I think it was called, and groomed the dogs instead. Today, no matter what, I will be at the halfway point on the book though.
It’s lightly raining and I was out pulling up the marigolds and more weeds and I want to cut back the pentas and Spanish heather, irises today too.
I won’t make any promises about writing more than the 2,000 though. Maybe I’ll do it.
I’m off to write and during breaks, I’ll do more gardening.
I spent all morning weeding and putting down bark mulch but creating fantasy composites is so much more fun. I managed 4,000 words yesterday on Highland Wolf, and need to get going on my word count today! I have 62 words.
I love fantasy. Okay, so I did it! I wrote the 6,000 words to catch up on Highland Wolf yesterday. Today’s goal is 2,000, hoping to get 4,000!
It’s warmer out, yay! And I’ll try and get some more weeding done. I do it daily, every time I take the dogs out. And I did 3 composites for my neighbor yesterday of their granddaughter. She’s just adorable. I took her out for this composite and added a fairy and flamingo instead to show off!
The reason I haven’t gotten word count on Highland Wolf is because I have had little one all weekend long, and then Wed and Friday. I did write on Vampire Redemption, and it’s almost done, so it’s not like I haven’t been working on a story. But it’s not the deadline book.
If I’d had more of an idea of what to write, I would have gotten somewhere with Highland Wolf, but being sick and then with distractions, I couldn’t concentrate. Now, I have to get back to it with heart and soul. So I’m off to work on it for the next 4 days before little one is back and I hope to catch up on word count and surpass it. I have two more scenes I want to write on Vampire Redemption, but I’ll do those after I get caught up on Highland Wolf. And then it will be done.
I also want to weed and I’m creating 3 composites for a neighbor’s granddaughter.
I had fun creating this from a DAZ3D unicorn, and Oscraps.
Okay, the words I love hearing: I love the book/novella, and it’s off to bookmaking! It’s the Red Wolf Novella that will come out in Seduced by the Wolf 10th Anniversary release.
I’m behind on my writing, but hope to make it all up this weekend. I have little one here, so today it won’t happen. I didn’t plan to have her today.
So I dodged the bullet on oral surgery, hopefully. I have a small stone in a salivary gland under my tongue. Why? Dehydration. Drinking too much tea and not enough water. Maybe using antihistamines too.
Anyway, so I have to get lemon drops to suck on. I couldn’t find any at my grocery store. I got sweet tart lollipops, the only thing I could find that might help. yuck. But I can’t suck on one all day when little one is here. Right away she wanted one. So we’re going to a different grocery store that says they have it. My SIL was instructed by my daughter to make sure I had some already. lol
Okay, off to type up some of my notes while she’s preoccupied!
So I go to the dentist for a teeth cleaning and learn I have calcium deposits in the saliva gland on the floor of my mouth. Of course it’s rare to have it under your tongue. Why not?
So my day was to write, instead I have to go in for oral surgery this morning. ugh. And tomorrow I have little one again, so that day is going to essentially be a non-writing day, even though it isn’t supposed to be either. *sigh*
Have a great day. I hope mine gets a whole lot better.
So yesterday, I was in the zone for writing Vampire Redemption, but I’m still sick, at least in the morning it was really bad and I’ve nearly got 3,000 words. Nothing is stopping me.
Then my daughter calls. “Are you well enough to go shopping at garden centers?”
OMG yes. I mean, I was feeling better by then, and she read about companion plants to me that will help keep the bugs off the ones you want to keep bug free, while we kept throwing her corgis outside. Both have diarrhea now, and she was doing what I was doing, cleaning out crates, bedding, floors. I’m so glad they’re home. lol
They love me though and were eager to see me again, after I had them Friday through Sunday. Little one was at daycare. So my daughter and I had lunch out, then went to Home Depot and Lowes. I picked up some bark mulch and flower seeds. One of my neighbors calls me the flower lady. Some call me the bear lady. Others the wolf lady. lol
So despite having lunch out, picked up some bark mulch and a few flower seeds, I managed to write 4,000 words on Vampire Redemption. I wanted to do more, but I was sick again in the evening and so tired from not sleeping that I went to bed early.
I’m feeling better this morning, but have a dental appointment. Important, of course, but a necessary evil.
I’m off to write before I have to leave. Must get word count on Highland Wolf today. I’m nearly done with Vampire Redemption, which is why I could write so much on it yesterday. Yay!!
I’ll probably let it sit once it’s done and read it over a little later to make sure I didn’t leave loose ends in the story. And then I’ll try and write a jaguar novella while I’m working on Highland Wolf.
