I had to go all the way to Scotland to see fall colors! lol So if we got rain, we might have some, but who knows? It was supposed to be 80% chance today, now it’s down to 60% and I’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting. It was supposed to be all day. Now it’s starting at 11. Maybe. I turned on my sprinklers this morning. Everything is burning up.

Every year my granddaughter has decided what we will be for Halloween. One year it was the shark family, another, Pokeman characters, and Alice in Wonderland. This year, my grandson (3), has a mind of his own. He is going as a dinosaur! Well, my granddaughter doesn’t want to be a dinosaur, sooo, we’re doing our own thing this year. I think I will be one of the fae, or an elf. I write about both, and in honor of one, or the other, that’s what I’ll be.
We haven’t had rain in about 7 weeks and we DESPERATELY need it. So when are we supposed to be getting rain? Thunderstorms predicted for Wednesday, Thursday (Halloween), and Friday. And the rest of the week and the next week showers. We need them. Really. But on Halloween?
Little one will be here soon. We usually go to the grocery store on Mondays. He loves to shop. But I was thinking of putting it off to Wednesday. But wait, storms predicted? Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can get done today. I’m off to get ready.

Love capturing reflections in the water. Love the old buildings in Scotland. Oban was such a relaxing place to be. It actually turned hot and people were swimming in the water!
I’m finishing up edits on Cougar’s Mate, added a few things, and I’ll be republishing it soon. It’s the first book in the Heart of the Cougar series.
Then I’m off to work solely on Wolf of My Eye and turn that in.

I’ve barely slept for only a few hours each night in over two weeks because of coughing all night. But last night, I slept! It’s amazing how getting a good night’s rest helps. I did wake up coughing once in the night, but got back to sleep. And I’m coughing this morning, but it doesn’t matter. As long as I got to sleep the night.
Okay, now that I managed that, it’s a wild day ahead. I revised Cougar’s Mate and am contemplating making another change. Then I’m off to tackle Loving the White Bear. Last will be Winning the Highlander’s Heart. Oh, and I have edits on Wolf of My Eye. It will be coming out next year, but I need to get that done first and foremost with the upcoming deadline. And I need to plot out the next in the Greystoke Wolf Pack series and the Grizzly Bear series.
Now that I’ve had some sleep, I’m ready!

If I’d had my camera, this would have been a better shot. But I had my phone, zoomed way out to capture him from a distance through a window, fishing in the morning before foot traffic became distracting for him.
Still, I love the action pose, the stillness, contemplation, readiness, and focus. Did he catch a fish? Yes!

I thought the baby wasn’t much smaller than the momma. lol
I got distracted this morning and didn’t finish this. I’m in the middle of working on homework assignments, and that’s been fun. But I only had 4 hours of sleep. I finally stopped coughing, so I’m going to try and get some more sleep. It’s the only way to get rid of this flu. Talked to my son and DIL and he said he’s got a cold the second trip on an airline in a few weeks. Ugh.
