The cat is waiting for the birds. He’s a neighbor’s cat, beautiful. He was in my backyard this morning in the dark. If he would catch the rats, I’d be happy, but I think he was waiting for the birds. My dogs chased him off. It was so dark, I couldn’t tell what they were after, then I saw the big black form leap onto the top of the fence. Whew! Glad he made his getaway.
I meant to post this yesterday, but with both grandkids here, it was impossible to get anything done. Not to mention this cold is really a hassle. My grandson, 2, was terrified of the pool, soooooo next week we’ll be going to the other swimming pool. It has a large shallow end. Maybe he’ll be more comfortable with that. It was closed yesterday so we weren’t able to go over there to try it out.
My granddaughter was disappointed that she couldn’t swim for the 2 hours like we normally do. She just loves the water now, though when she was his age, she was just like him. Me? I was a water baby, so I don’t know how to help him not fear the water.
Okay, I’m off to get ready for my granddaughter’s arrival. My grandson will be at daycare and we’ll have our 2 hour pool time. But I also have to get my writing in today. I’ve been working with my granddaughter on science projects. She had three books to work from at school, but it looks like they didn’t get to any of them, so we’re having fun with it. And reading too. Our goal is reading the 25 books required for school to make some honors board. But we’ll probably do more than that over the summer.
It’s so frustrating to get another bad cold. For a couple of days I wasn’t able to write. I was taking it easy yesterday, watching movies and writing. I never did get my blog done. I started it. lol But I was so tired for the last two days, no appetite, coughing, feeling achy all over.
I hope I feel better when I have both kids tomorrow. We plan pool time, and then baby will have to go down for a nap.
Okay, off to write some more. I keep getting behind on my writing! And I’m afraid with having the kids here, I’m going to have a time trying to get it done.
It’s fun, it’s relaxing, it takes a lot of work. lol
Have just a little bit of time before I pick up my granddaughter. They have a half day for their last day of school and then she has a party to go to. Such is the life of a little kid.
Me? I still need to get my word count in, but it was cool out this morning so I was cutting down a dead holly and pine tree and weed trees and tying up my midget tomato plants that are already getting too big for their britches. Which I love because they’re already producing tons of midget tomatoes.
I added a different background as an overlay and then mixer brush painted the wolf and original background.
I’m still working on the white wolf book. I need to cut down a pine tree that died. Maybe I can get to that this morning before I get to the book. I went to pick up my granddaughter from kindergarten yesterday and our 2% chance of rain turned into a rip roaring thunderstorm. So I’m hold onto baby in the pouring rain, umbrella is in car–too far to return to before she was released, but luckily my granddaughter had her raincoat and I was wearing a hat so I cuddled baby close and kept his head a little dryer. But we were really wet. Worse, the thunder and lightning was right overhead, so a bunch of people took shelter under the trees. Where would the lightning strike if it got close enough? The trees.
We needed the rain, so in 45 mins, we had 1 1/2″ of rain.
Okay, got to get to work. Hope you have a beautiful day!!
I love the bluebirds. I thought they would only come to your yard for bugs, so I tried mealworms, but the dogs were the only ones that would eat them! But the bluebirds come for the mixed seeds that have nuts and fruit also.
The motto of the vampires is that humans have to deal with problems on their own. But when Levka and his friends risk all to save human girls, he is injured and so the adventure begins. A cruise. A human girl who is terrified of water. And a vampire who has targeted her for his mate. But she has some secrets of her own.
Forced to take a cruise ship to babysit her foster sister, Caitlin has to face her own demons. But add to that her foster sister’s and her friend’s antics and Caitlin’s inability to use her witch’s magic over water and she has little hope to enjoy this trip. Until she meets a wheelchair-bound teen and wants to make friends with him in the worst way.
Levka and his friends make a hasty retreat from Dallas before the vampire elders stake them for getting involved in human affairs–again. But when he meets Caitlin on the cruise ship, hating that he’s so weak after being injured so severely that he has to use a wheelchair, he finds their troubles have just begun.
Jasmine has the mission as a rogue vampire assassin to chase down a rogue in Wales. When she meets Stasio, she thinks he could provide a cover for her as her pseudo-boyfriend while she eliminates the rogue. But another assassin, who keeps stealing her missions, thwarts her. The next thing she knows, he claims Stasio is a rogue vampire! No way!
Stasio is a Welsh prince escaping the Dallas League of Vampires—with his three prince friends, and a witch, who his friend had turned and is now one of them—to return to their native Wales where they were also considered rogues. They’d tried to overthrow their League centuries earlier, lost their castles, and had fled. Surely, no one would ever think they would return. But then everything is turned upside down and Jasmine is stuck running as a rogue with Stasio and his friends.
But that’s not the end of it. When they arrive in Scotland to flee the peril, a group of Scottish vampires want to overthrow their own League and they want the princes to help them. Do they do it and risk it all? Will Jasmine leave them and find her own way? If they help them fight the vampire elders and lose like they did with their own League centuries ago, will they survive this time? These are the questions they have to answer before they get themselves even more over their heads than they already are and lose them this time.
After 12 years between books, I finally finished it. Night of the Vampire is in the works, but I have to write on White Wolf Christmas and do edits on A Good Wolf is Hard to Find. And get my Driver’s License Renewal, and go to my granddaughter’s crossover from Kindergarten to 1st Grade. 🙂 Except for the DL stuff, it’s all fun!
Yep, just like all the other guys, and like in Galaxy Quest where the captain has to always remove his shirt at some point in front of everyone, which was a take off on Star Trek’s Capt Kirk–if he didn’t have an audience, it wouldn’t have gotten the response he needed, the jaguar shifter in You Had Me at Jaguar had to remove his shirt to show off all his muscles too.
