The cat stole away on the steampunk boat that crashed into the rocks. Steampunk search and rescue is out in force for the missing boat. Looks like they’ve found them. Original photo was of Cornwall, by Dawn Cox, but I added layers of water, skies, and a new cliff.
Kids are out of school today for the summer. And I have corgi duty all next week. Otherwise, I’m writing!
I’m not really that great at using brushes, but I was playing around with adding the moon and some stardust that way. Everything else is layers–the bear, owl, wolf, pond, grasses, textures, and color layers.
I’m shipping the last 20 autographed books today. We’re supposed to have thunderstorms, had some rain last night, but it might hold off until this afternoon. So fingers crossed. Otherwise, I’ll have to wait. Don’t want to ship off wet books.
Now, it’s time to get back to the book.
I’ve been trying to figure out how to add deeper characterization on the story, and I think I have one part of it. The heroine is afraid of cliffs, and I have several of them in the story, so I will have to work that in whenever she encounters them, and the backstory of why she’s afraid of cliffs. Now it gets fun. Creating deeper characters makes them much more real.
Aren’t we all afraid of something? It’s what makes us…unique.
Have a super day! I’m looking forward to the rain.
If you listen to the music, don’t blame me if it gets stuck in your head. It did in mine. LOL
Okay, I’m off to work on signing more books to ship. Hope to get the rest of them to the post office today. Maybe tomorrow. We’ll be playing in the wading pool later. Very hot, even at 5 am.
If you have SEAL Wolf Surrender already, hope you’re loving it! Have a fun day!!!
“Terry Spear continues her popular Wolf & SEAL Wolf series with the story of Brock and Natalie who don’t want to have anything to do with dating but are thrown together by the unlucky task of grabbing the wrong bag at the luggage claim at the airport. Showing that a minor mistake can lead to danger and love. Can a family of lone wolves fit into a pack? Can hearing a voice change your life. They answer is YES if the SEAL Wolf Surrenders. I’m always ready for the next Terry Spear books. Which SEAL Wolf will be next or will she go in a different direction and give us the story of an Army Ranger by the name of Shawn? Just a Hint Ms. Spear!!!”~~Kim Roller, Goodreads
Shoshana Frank said: “Spear’s latest paranormal romance is filled with high action, heart-pounding chemistry, and a wolf-pack of vivid characters.” Booklist
For a shifter with no interest in she-wolves…he sure is territorial.
Wolf shifter and former Navy SEAL Brock Greystoke isn’t interested in
she-wolves. The last one in his life ambushed him with the intent to
kill. So when he’s tasked with helping his cousin’s friend get to a
wedding, he has no intention of getting involved with her…
She-wolf Natalie Silverton has inadvertently crossed a group of
dangerous criminals, and she’s in dire need of a bodyguard. Good thing
Brock is there to protect her. At every turn, their work—and play—brings
them closer to catching the criminals and to each other, but Brock will
have to get them out of this alive if he has any hope of winning
Natalie’s heart.

I worked on Billionaire until midnight, couldn’t get my internet to work yesterday or this morning, had to finally literally pull the plug on my computer because I couldn’t shut it down properly and totally forgot about the new release. ugh. I’m lucky others mention it. I wrote it a year ago, have been promoting it on and off, and it always seems to me that it’s already out!
Do you see the cat that hitched a ride on the airship? I created this composite using several different layers of clouds. I never thought of doing that until I saw on DeviantArt where an artist mentioned how she had combined clouds to create her free spectacular clouds to give away. So I started out with just a group of pretty clouds on a blue sky, and then began to add and add and add. On the next version, I added a galaxy kind of sky on top of the clouds and it gave it a whole different effect.
The steampunk airship is from Roy3D on DeviantArt.
More of a galaxy version.
So I don’t have the baby today, yay! Because I was at parties all weekend and have been struggling to just get my word count of 2,000 each day. That gives me today to try and catch up just on that. I still need 22,000 words just to reach word count.
It’s Memorial Day, observed, and I wished to take a moment to give tribute to those who have fallen during their time in active service.
We’re celebrating my son-in-law’s birthday today. He doesn’t know it, but I’ve decorated everything in Spiderman decorations, since that’s his favorite superhero.
I’m behind on my writing again, and I think my daughter will be taking care of her daughter tomorrow due to the holiday, so hope to catch up a little!
Have a beautiful day!!! The partying starts at 3, so trying to get some writing done!!! More books have gone out. Still have about 20 to sign and ship.
Have you ever lost a day? I planned to write 3,000 words on my book, but somehow I managed 2,000 and the rest of the day…well, what happened to it? Yes, I weeded. Yes, I walked. I printed out more labels for books to ship.
But somehow I managed to waste the rest of the day. Maybe I needed to? Maybe I didn’t need to and I needed to concentrate. I’m at the stage where I don’t know what to write, which is some of my problem. So I do other stuff, come back to it, do other stuff, come back to it, and nothing is coming.
Will try to do better today! Have a beautiful and MEMORABLE day.
I love observing animal behavior. The baby has been eating on his own with his sister all this time. But here comes daddy cardinal and baby is opening his beak, flapping his wings, as if he were in the nest still, needing nourishment.
Daddy obliges, but then he was back to foraging for himself.
Silver Town Wolf: Home for the Holidays. It might sound like it’s a Hallmark Classic, but it’s my regular paranormal romantic suspense–dead bodies, ghosts, wolf shifters, romance, you know, the usual.
I’m off to write! Trying to get 3,000 words today. Managed 1,000 yesterday on baby day, but also got 60 books ready to ship, another 30 to go.
I have 10th anniversary releases for these 4 books coming out either this year, next year, or last year, so I realized I needed to clear out some space for the new books with the new book covers and I did a Facebook giveaway and 90 books later, they’re all gone. Or, at least they’re all spoken for. I still have to sign them and ship them all.
My granddaughter’s here, so we took a walk before it gets too hot, and we HAVE to go to the grocery store. I ran out of potatoes. Horrors! I hope to go early because it will be 90 degrees again. We’ll play in the water later.
So working on getting the books ready to ship. I need a hunky, wolfish personal assistant. I think I will have to make do with a toddler’s help. But I can fantasize.
Wolf picture I took at the International Wolf Center, Ely, MN
Usually when I’m so far behind on writing goals, I throw out my goals and start over. Not this time. I need to catch up. So I’m back to whittling down the discrepancy. It’s a push, but it’s what I need.
I’m down to 23,000 behind, from 26,000 words on Sunday. So that’s progress. But I have to go to my daughter’s place on Saturday to help her and friends celebrate my SIL’s birthday. *sigh*
Okay, baby’s not here today, so I’m trying to get my word count! I’m hoping to reach 50,000 words today. I was supposed to be at 72,000. See how this sneaks up on you?
Have fun, will you??? I’ll be in my bear cave writing.
