Used Midjourney AI to create the fairy tree and then incorporated it in the first picture showing the fairies getting ready for Christmas! The fairies were created with Daz3D. 🙂
Great day with little one yesterday. Now it’s time for teeth cleaning and I’ll be glad to get that over with. lol
I was in a pink mood. Gold yesterday. Green tomorrow. White one day. Blue another. Colors can evoke emotions. I have to remember to include them in my writing.
I’m a little over halfway done on proofing Relative Danger. I’m hoping to get it done today. No grandchild care, so I’m free to just work on this. The dogs are bugging me to eat. I got up at 4:30, way too early to feed them, though I took them out in the dark this morning to potty. So that’s next on the agenda. And then back to proofing.
I have an infestation of moths. I must have let in a pregnant one and now I’m constantly killing moths. ugh.
I’m off to feed the ravenous dogs!! And walk them before it gets too hot. Oh, it’s cooler today. Yay! Just checked the weather forecast. Maybe storms around 11. Not holding my breath. They’ve been saying that for three days.
Have a super great day! Mine’s going to be great with the cool down and hopeful rain! And working on the green fairy art too. 🙂
I love fairies and wolves. Well, and a lot of other things.
I just finished edits on Wolf Takes the Lead and turned it in. I started working on editing Relative Danger, previously released. I have a new cover for it, so I want to update it.
Still taking care of my granddaughter, so once she goes home, I can concentrate on it and maybe get it done by the weekend and then republish it with the new title. Then? It’s time to get back to Lachlan’s story. Sometimes it helps me to write on a current story after I’ve read a couple of others I had to work on. I’ll reread it from beginning to end and then hopefully be able to figure out how to finish it.
Another hot day. No rain. *sigh* Maybe Thursday we’ll get some, but I’m not holding my breath.
So back to the real world of werewolves…I have been doing research into homes I can use for the heroine’s house in the Highlands of Scotland. My friend Lor helped me to brainstorm it and so I’m off and running! So much fun.
In the meantime, this fairy is an animal charmer. Don’t you wish you could talk to animals like she does?
In my actual fae series, they look just like us, which is why they can get away with so much mischief.
In my elf and other fantasy series, they can be diminutive like this and full of just as much mischief. There are no fairies in the Emerald Isle of Mists, but in an earlier book, they had trouble with them for sure.
The Magic of Inherian: Scepter of Salvation, Book 1
Princess Talamaya turned 18 in the human kingdom of Damar, just like her twin brother. Only when she comes of age, she must wed the king’s choice. When her brother comes of age, he’s allowed to sit on the council. But everything changes when a wizard pits beast and man against each other in Inherian–all because of the loss of the Scepter of Salvation and she must return it to their kingdom.
Princess Talamaya and her friends, Lady Kersta and Lady Mexia, must retrieve the Scepter of Salvation when her brother is poisoned. Visions plague Talamaya of a world beyond her own, of a destiny she has to fulfill. But the barbarian king is also after the scepter, and the black-hearted wizard who is trying to gain control will do anything to keep them from retrieving it.
She must free a knight from his madness. Help a female dwarf escape from the dwarven mines. Aid an Amazon fighting the Dark Elves. Rescue even the barbarian king. Save a crusty old dwarf from the wolves of Elan Pass. And outwit the dark wizard once more. Above all else, she must always take the path of righteousness.
An apprentice of the mage they had destroyed earlier, now threatens Inherian once again. But when Mexia arrives at Langdon to become school trained, she learns the school will not permit a woman to attend. But she must destroy the mage’s apprentice, and she cannot do so without the training. She must use the magic she has learned to discover a way to defeat the apprentice before it is too late.
Mexia has already done much more than most school-trained mages when she and her companions had gone in search of the scepter of salvation. But now one of the apprentices of the evil wizard they had destroyed, has stolen his spell book and plans to take up where he had left off, and she has to try and stop him.
Mexia believes the only way for her to defeat the mage is to become school trained like he was with the eventual goal of becoming a high wizard–the first of her kind in Inherian. But the current headmaster denies her entrance because she’s a woman. Though if she can get the former headmaster’s recommendation, she may attend.
And that’s the beginning of the trouble.
First, there’s the wizard. Then, the immovable headmaster. And then, the circle of misfortunes. It all goes downhill from there…
The Magic of Inherian: Emerald Isle of Mists, Book 3
Prince Argon has taken Lady Kersta and her companions hostage because he needs them to help him rescue his sister from captivity and then he must return to his princedom and make his twin brother pay for his crimes. Kersta and her friends have special abilities that he hopes to use. But now they have a new problem. The prince’s sister is being offered to either one of two suitors, and they’re in the fight to the death to keep her. The man who holds the strings is a king who claims she’s his niece, but Argon knows the man is not their uncle!
Kersta can’t believe she and her companions have paid passage on the prince’s ship to take them home and instead he’s taken them to the Emerald Isle of Mists on a rescue mission and all because a soothsayer has predicted this will come to pass. Not only is danger all around them, but Kersta’s whole life is about to be turned upside down.
I had little one here yesterday so we were busy with arts and crafts, did a little yard work. I weeded, she picked up pine cones. She loves to do that. It was 80 degrees. Today–30. Too much of a change!
I was trying to do a little work on my taxes. It’s always a 2-3 day job.
But I need to concentrate on A Wolf’s Second Chance today.
Cold and rainy this morning. We had 2 inches of rain again yesterday, or through the night.
Created the fairy and the winged horse from Daz3D, and the background is from Daily Textures.
The Best of Both Wolves was the Fresh Pick at Fresh Fiction, yay! So excited!
“In addition, because your book was chosen to be a Fresh Pick, THE BEST OF BOTH WOLVES is in the running for a 2022 Fresh Fiction Readers Choice Award. Finalists will be announced in March 2023. The awards will be presented in Texas at our Boas & Tiaras event.”
Running late this morning. Very cold, temperature dropping, 2″ of rain yesterday. Little one here and we’ve been trying to learn words and do crafts, making a pizza together for lunch.
I managed to get most of the edits done on Dawn of the Jaguar. I need to finish them up this morning. Little one is staying overnight from about 3:30 on so I wanted to get this done and start proofing it one last time.
I did manage to finish creating the title page for the first book in the fae series. I just took this picture on my computer, which caused the strange marks on the page. I want to do this with each of the fae series to give it uniformity. I created the fae with Daz3D and I’ll make a different one for each. 🙂
I was out weeding this morning. It’s nice and cool in the mornings, though it’s going to be heating up mornings again. And we’re still getting to 90 during the day.
In one of my stories, I have fae wolf shifters. Some of them help to guard the dragon fae shifters gold.I created this from DAZ3D.
Turned in White Wolf Moon. Need to begin typing up notes I wrote for Christmas Wolf Surprise. Hopefully, I’ll get back to my 2,000 words per day goal. I have a ton of things to do today though. It’s going to be hectic, then dinner with the kids and their friend.
Shooting pains in my wrist in the middle of the night. I envisioned all kinds of bad scenarios since the doctor said the bone can shift.
Have a super fun day! I’ve been running this morning to get things done, but want to finally settle down and write.
Sometimes I’m lazy. I worked all morning on weeding and putting down bark mulch, wrote my 2,000, wanted to get 4,000, added another 500 instead and so ended up with 2500 and watched The Duchess, I think it was called, and groomed the dogs instead. Today, no matter what, I will be at the halfway point on the book though.
It’s lightly raining and I was out pulling up the marigolds and more weeds and I want to cut back the pentas and Spanish heather, irises today too.
I won’t make any promises about writing more than the 2,000 though. Maybe I’ll do it.
I’m off to write and during breaks, I’ll do more gardening.
I love fantasy. Okay, so I did it! I wrote the 6,000 words to catch up on Highland Wolf yesterday. Today’s goal is 2,000, hoping to get 4,000!
It’s warmer out, yay! And I’ll try and get some more weeding done. I do it daily, every time I take the dogs out. And I did 3 composites for my neighbor yesterday of their granddaughter. She’s just adorable. I took her out for this composite and added a fairy and flamingo instead to show off!
