We might not have snow, but making snowy pictures puts me in the mood. I had my granddaughter overnight after Thanksgiving, and my grandson was here overnight last night. With my granddaughter, she watched some Christmas shows with me. My grandson didn’t want to watch them, so he’s watching Mickey Mouse.

I took my granddaughter to the grocery store, then realized I’m out of eggs and mayonnaise. I was going to make potato salad. It goes down easy and the eggs provide protein which I desperately need.

I thought of taking my grandson, but I don’t feel like getting him ready to go. lol

I’m off to write. I’m at 7,000 words on the Christmas story. I’m about an 1/8th of the way done on the Christmas gift.

I’ve decorated for Christmas. So now it’s time to focus!!

Wolfish

I’m working on a latchhook rug that I started my granddaughter on as a gift for someone, and she did one pink nose and one yellow star and that was it. lol I probably won’t get it done in time, but I’m working on it.

And I’m working on the Christmas story. I had to stop to finish up Wolfish, but now it’s done! Woohoo!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I have to cook a turkey, ham, and the gravy. I don’t know if I’ll be able to eat much. Nothing appeals, but I’m going to try. Everything else gets frozen to eat later.

I have to give blood this morning and see the doctor. Hope my kidneys are doing better and I won’t need an infusion.

I’ll be working on getting Wolfish ready for publication afterward.

We’re supposed to have severe weather tonight, not this morning like they said, which is great. The drive to Houston is treacherous enough without having severe thunderstorms hampering the drive. Yay! We need rain, but not when I’m driving. lol

It’s nearly Thanksgiving!

Because of being so sick, I didn’t decorate for fall. But I’m already excited to decorate for Christmas. It always makes me feel cheerful to see the house all decorated up.

I’m halfway done with proofing Wolfish. Hope to have that done today. I’ve got to go to the doctor’s appointments tomorrow, so I will try to finish it up tomorrow after I get back and then start working on Cougar Christmas Calamity again!

But I’m writing a Christmas story, so I’m thinking in terms of snow. lol

I haven’t been feeling well on the chemo, and had to have another 2-hour infusion of fluids for my kidneys. So they took me off chemo for 2 weeks, yay! That will be nice for Thanksgiving dinner, since nothing tastes good after chemo.

I couldn’t post for the last couple of days because I kept getting an error message and it wouldn’t let me post anything.

I was sick during the night, yesterday night, and when I saw the doctor, my kidneys were in distress. So I ended up having to get a fluid infusion late that afternoon. I left at 5 am for the first appts, and got home, and had to go to the hospital closer by and got home at 5 pm, so it was a long day.

Still sick with this cold. But my blood counts were looking good despite having the chemo. Platelets were nearly normal. It’s supposed to make them go down, so fingers crossed that they don’t. But the chemo pills are causing lower GI problems.

I have 51 weeks to go on the chemo. Yay! Easier to think of it that way than days.

With the temperature going up and down from the 80s to the 40s, it’s fall for us. I ended up getting a cold. Before I went into remission, I would get sick constantly and it would last for 3 months, be well for a couple of weeks and get sick again. So I’ve done really well, no colds for 4 months. But now I’m on chemo again, so it makes my blood counts go down again.
