I was having fun creating a video trailer for Stolen Highland Dreams. I’m working on one for The Wolf of My Eye now. It’s like when I’m making bears. I’ll just have fun doing a whole slew of them. I need to make a video for Protecting the White Bear too! I use Animoto to do some and Book Brush to do others.
I’m still working on White Bear. I have 8K to go, but I went through about 12 chapters in edits already. I have a scene I need to write so hope to do that today and then continue to edit.
Still fighting this cold, but it’s getting better. 🙂
Okay, I’ve fed the dogs, making my tea, and I’m about ready to sit down and work on the story some more. And then continue working on the video trailer for Wolf of My Eye.

When he flew up into the trees, I was so surprised because there were tons of people wandering around and he was unafraid of them. Only I was taking pictures of him. 🙂 I was delighted!

I finally felt a little better last night and managed to get this done! I’m off to work on Protecting the White Bear. Woke at 5 and couldn’t get back to sleep, so I was thinking about what I could add to it. No shutting off the writing brain sometimes!

I took a cough decongestant the night before last that had an antihistamine in it. Big mistake. Yes, I slept for several hours, but then the whole day until that night I felt soooooo groggy.
But I was still coughing last night until 3 and finally gave in to taking a different one. I did not take an antihistamine, and that was much better. I still only had about 4 hours of sleep, but I feel much clearer-headed.
I’m off to try and finish preparing Stolen Highland Dreams for publication. Vellum has been so wonderful, but only accessible on Mac. But with updates, when I import a mss, everything is all screwed up chapter-wise. I tried to fix it last night, but after 3 failed attempts, hoped I would do better today.
Ran in to get more cough medicine. Off to work on the book and HOPE I can get it done today.

This cold has been miserable. For the first couple of days, I thought I was going to get over it quickly. Nope.
I spent all day yesterday proofing Stolen Highland Dreams and finished it last night. We went to dinner, a movie, and Arcade games. My daughter and I were fighting bad raptors in Jurassic Park and went fishing. I caught a fish, and then a shark grabbed hold, so I had an even bigger “fish.” And we played Halo. So that was fun.
But then I couldn’t sleep last night because I’d started the constant cough. So I took a DM nighttime cold medicine, and within 2 minutes, the coughing stopped. Yay! But then it made me groggy. I took it at 3 a.m., had to do something, and the dogs woke me at 7. I took them out and went back to bed. At 9, I woke again, so at least I did get some sleep!!! I wouldn’t have otherwise.
Now I need to type up the rest of the Stolen Highland Dreams and work on publishing it. Yay!

For Valentine’s Day. One for her mom, dad, and little brother. We had a fun day–both of us napping once together as she still has a cold too. Normally, she wouldn’t nap at the age of 7. But then we had to go to the tax office and neither of us were ready to give up our slumber. I knew she needed a nap!
Kids are going to Parents’ Night Out tonight. We’re going to see a fluffy movie and have dinner. Nothing has appealed to eat. I even got both of us ice cream from our ice cream shop and after a few bites, I put the rest in the freezer.
I did manage to proof 16 chapters of Stolen Highland Dreams so I’m well on the way to finishing it. Yay! I want to get it uploaded this weekend or by Monday. My son-in-law has off Monday and so do the kids. So I have a break on Monday to rest and try and get over this!

Being kind to each other should not be a one-day-a-year event. And it should be a mutual thing–not that only one partner is supposed to show his or her love, but both do.
I have zero energy this morning. I’m drinking water and maybe that will perk me up. The cold, surprisingly, hasn’t been as bad as previous ones, where I would cough nonstop for 3 months at a time. I no longer have a sore throat, but still even though I tried to sleep more, I have no energy.
I’m off to print out my Stolen Highland Dreams, turn my taxes over to the accountant, ship more books, and then crash.

Well, I’m sick again. ugh. I had about 4 hours of sleep and was soooooo tired this morning that I actually didn’t wake until 7:30 after spending most of the night coughing. The garbage man has changed their routine and usually if I don’t get the garbage out by 7:15, that’s all she wrote.
So I was rushing around like a mad woman, getting the trash together, hurrying it out to the curb, and yay, they hadn’t come yet!!! Then I took the dogs out and fed them and took them out again. I wanted to post my blog and then go back to bed.
But sometimes after I’m up, I can’t sleep again, so we’ll give it a shot.
Hope you are staying good and healthy! Colds and flu are hitting the area here and all over, from what I understand.
