Planting lots of flowers. I wore myself out moving 500 lbs of dirt for the planting beds yesterday, but was still digging up ferns and moving them, and planted 2 salvia plants, a miniature rose, daylilies, an iris.
The daylilies always look so dead that I planted out back. I hope they come out okay. The ones out front are beautiful, but I planted them every year for years and they’re filling in nicely. I love them because like their name, flowers pop out daily spring, summer and fall.
This was the fuchsia miniature rosebush that I planted. Above it is crepe myrtle of the same color. If I had room, I would plant the fuchsia salvia in the same area. It’s always pretty when you can have a group of plants with the same color, unifying that part of the garden.
Off to pilates torture and then celebrating my granddaughter’s birthday. Then it’s back to working on the garden. I need to plant a lavender, pink/peach miniature rosebush, and the fuchsia salvia. I have some teddy bear sunflowers seeds I want to put in also. 🙂 <3
Have a fun-filled day!!!

I think next is the bistro set. It’s black and all rusty. I picked up some blue paint and primer also for rusty furniture. So I believe I’ll begin on that next.
I just finished proofing Huntress for Hire, yay! I seriously need to plant some of my plants. I found 2 miniature rosebushes, both that I adore. I need to plant several daylily bulbs that give me constant flowery color, 3 salvia plants, and lots of seeds. I’m going to try some floral ground covers. Maybe THEY will block out the weeds. I need to do something. lol They are perennials, but are coming from an online seed shop.
Okay, I’m off to send Huntress to my beta readers and then begin all my gardening stuff.
Have a super duper day!

For my friends in the snowy north, take heart. When your spring comes and you’re showing off all your flowers, we’ll be sweating it out in the heat, trying to keep everything alive. 🙂
Have a beautiful day!

One of my lovely fans asked when my next book would be out. I finished Huntress Unleashed, but was giving myself some time to look at it with a fresh mind before I proofed it and sent it to my beta readers. It really helps to do that–to set aside a manuscript and then reread it as if I hadn’t ever read it before. So I started doing that last night. Once I’m done, I’ll send it off and then get back to the Highland story. I need another 29K words on it. I haven’t put out a Highland story in years, so I really wanted to get this done also. And yes, it does have a mystical, paranormal side to it.
And then??? Not sure. A shifter or a fae or elf book? I even had a request for another Magic of Inherian book.
Little one will be here today, so we are going to the grocery store as my fridge is again bare. And we’ll do more gardening. It’s 49 degrees today, so it really got chilly for us. So we might wait on doing some gardening. I’ve decided I’m a warm weather gardener. 🙂
Have a super lovely day!

Today we’re supposed to have storms so little one and I will probably stay home. When I don’t have him, it’s fine, but trying to get him out of the car in a storm is another thing!
Hope you all have a great time today!

Tiny purple blooms are just starting to appear. This is the biggest, most widespread it’s been. I love them because they come back every year. And they have fairy like flowers and the butterflies love them!
Off to pilates. I’d hurt my back 5 weeks ago, so haven’t been doing it. I’m going to feel it!
Have a beautiful day!

We had 7 inches of rain Thursday night and 2.5 inches on Wednesday. So we are in the green.
I’ve been painting outdoor rusty ornaments and such and finally finished painting the cart.

This color makes me feel like I’m at the beach!
Okay, I’m off to paint some more and work on the Medieval Highland book. It’s at 39K, nearly halfway done. So making some headway! I believe it won’t take me 20 more years to write. Yay!!!
Have a beautifully green day!

On a zinnia flower in my backyard. Okay, so I took the photo last year as the zinnia aren’t up yet, but the seeds are just sprouting. The swallowtails are out already though. I’ve seen a couple looking for flowers in my backyard. They know they will be there. Roses and Gerbera Daisies are already blooming!
I’m off to work on the Highland book. I’m up to 35K.
Have a beautiful day!
