Shiny…Bubbles of Giant Proportions

Isn’t that the coolest??? I’ve never seen giant bubbles before so my SIL brought them out to play with my granddaughter and I took tons of pictures.

I’ve been so busy trying to do stuff this morning, I forgot to blog!

Making asparagus, wild brown rice, chicken tenderloin and tomatoes for lunch. I’m adding fresh grown thyme and chives.

Before-After-Flowerbed

The before picture was taken later spring so the grass is much greener. The rocks had just been put down. But in the new picture, pine trees have sprouted up, the boxwood I put in grew by leaps and bounds, and when they’re ready, the planter is filled with flowers.

Spring is Filling the Flowerbeds!

I have to keep pulling the weeds, but at least some of the stuff that looked like weeds proved they’re not and are now providing a flowery showcase. The fuschia-colord phlox is so pretty right now and lilies are about to bloom, wild clover, and sunshine ligustrum. Hopefully, the ligustrum will start to really grow a bit! It’s supposed to be 6 feet tall and it’s just maybe a foot tall. Some of the ones in the back are about five foot now. And one in the front is 6 foot. So maybe this one is going to be a runt of the litter.

When I lived in Oklahoma, I had this color of phlox and redbud trees and their flowers are the same shade of pink-purple. It looked like I was a master gardener and had planned it that way. lol I’d never had either plant before, so I was amazed at how beautiful the combination was.

In Like a Lion and Out Like a Lamb

It was 88 degrees yesterday and my granddaughter ended up coming over for 5 hours. So we went outside and I hooked up the sprinkler and she ran through it in her bathing suit while I weeded. It was so hot, but the water so cold that she was ice by the time I convinced her it was time to go in. We did puzzles and watered the tomato plants and planted some seeds.

She’s back, so we’ll be finishing up a puzzle, doing some worksheets, going to the grocery store and pick up some flowers too. And it’s supposed to be as hot, so I imagine she’ll be playing in the sprinkler again today. And I’ll be weeding.

I did some edits on Wolf Pack and worked on Bear in Mind edits too.

You probably know that dandelion seeds can be carried by the wind, rain, animals, but did you know that when you’re not about, dandelion fairies really get to work on carrying the seeds further? See what you’re up against?

Okay, I’ve been goofing off, but now it’s time to get to work. And yes, get rid of some dandelions too!

Sometimes the clouds and light are just right to bring it all together.

So I have 4 chapters to go on Wolf Pack proofing, and then I need to try and figure out my next Highland wolf story–only that one is modern day.

Jammy Mouth for Real

Hummingbirds love it, otherwise it’s kind of an odd looking flower!

I couldn’t get motivated to do anything yesterday–well, little one was here so we did a lot of stuff, but while she napped, I tried to start my sprinklers, but I can’t get it to work, yard men came and fertilized so I hand watered everything. Yeah, just like the old days. I’ve been spoiled with a sprinkler system here.

Tomato plants are doing well despite the up and down weather.

I just need to finish up Wolf Pack, turned in the other book, but they’re sending me edits to do on another. *sigh*

It’s supposed to be 85 today, so I’m going to get motivated and get out and work. It’s 43 right now, and that’s motivating me to stay inside. lol

Speaking of shifters, Wolf on the Wild Side is done and I’m turning it in today. I want to finish up Wolf Pack in the next couple of days and get started on the new Highland wolf book. Since I just wrote Kayla’s story though, I want to write her sister’s Roxie’s story now since I’m still kind of in their world. But the Highland book is due first.

Little one will be here soon so I’m off to do my Wordle and then get ready!

So I worked on Wolf Pack yesterday–adding the synopsis, acknowledgements, revising the last chapter and epilogue and then got to work on final proofing of Wolf on the Wild Side. I still need to finish a scene in Wolf Pack, but I want to make more of a headway on the other story so I can turn it in. I’m up to chapter 8, 17 chapters to go.

I’m off to work!

Family of Lions

He’s asking when she’s going to get dinner on the table.

We’re under a tornado watch, 60 mph gusts of wind, and thunderstorm warnings this morning. It’s been raining all night and thundering like crazy. I can’t get my dogs out to go to the bathroom. I tried several times, went out with them every time, but it’s a no go. “What? Are you crazy, Momma?” I don’t blame them.

So hopefully they can hold it for another 3 hours.
