I’m reading over the final version (I hope) of Billionaire She-Wolf, so I can turn it over to beta readers next. In the meantime, I have plans for my granddaughter today–the swimming pool, stroller walk, grocery store, and then, you see, she’ll be all worn out so I can proof more. Maybe. Or Grandma will be.
In any event, that’s the schedule, finish Billionaire! Yay! Someone mentioned we were almost halfway through the year. No! Hands over ears, I don’t want to hear it.
Centaurs in love. When I need a break, I create pictures, take pictures, play with my dogs, play with my granddaughter, garden, weed, weed, weed….but mostly write.
I will never lose my love of fantasy though. It takes me out of the drudgery of life: didn’t I just clean that toilet? What’s the ring doing there again? Weeds? I pulled them all. How come there are more now than before? Groceries? I have no groceries again? Wasn’t I just at the store?
Yep, fantasy is the stuff of fun.
Have a great, fantastical day. Now it’s time to get back to Billionaire She-Wolf and that means fun!
Common Dragonfly and Monarch Butterfly laying eggs on milkweed.
We had wild thunderstorms all day yesterday and they’re continuing today. My word count is rising higher and higher, and I still haven’t figured out the end. Maybe it will still come to me. Hope springs eternal.
I think he thought I could see him. See the aphids on the milkweed below him on the leaf?
Okay, so I spent the day running errands with my daughter yesterday, put up a spice rack, and a peg board in the garage for my gardening tools, trying to get more organized, but I still managed to fill in more scenes and got 2,000 words.
We might go to the pool this morning. I’m trying to finish this book. Does that sound familiar???
Okay, off to work on it some more. Have a shelf to put together too, and more pegboard to hang up to get more organized.
I have a ton of things I’m doing, like repainting wrought iron furniture too, and I picked some more flower seeds (perennials, so they’ll come back next year too) and a couple of more plants. Am I crazy, or what? Have a super fun day!
I think I missed blogging yesterday. How did that happen??? Toddler Granddaughter happened. 🙂 We had a longer day than normal, but I still managed to get 2,000 words done. Still a long ways from finishing the book.
But I’m having a blast taking pictures of all the zinnia blooming. Such a myriad of colors. It’s like Christmas!
The Carolina anole has a forked tail! So now I can recognize him from the other little insect eaters. He was puffing his throat out to attract a female. And who knew they’d have baby pineapple plants at the IKEA store. I had to get a picture. It’s so cute. A friend said she planted a pineapple and it took 3 years to grow one, but it was sooo good.
I can’t sleep. Second night in a row. I’ve got to finish this book. I’m stressing.
I saw where you can get more done at 4 am. But hey, by noon, I’ll be half alseep.
I don’t see the orange dragonflies very often, but I saw several flying in the garden yesterday. Love dragonflies. They get rid of the bad bugs in the garden.
I picked my daughter and granddaughter up at the airport yesterday morning and they’d been up since 1 am. So I took my granddaughter home with me to wear her out so my daughter could get some sleep. She did, only Keira fell asleep after 4 hours, and slept for 3 hours after my daughter came to get me for lunch. We were hungry. I hadn’t eaten all day, figuring we’d get lunch. So we got lunch at 3:30, or early dinner, does that make it drunch? You know, like brunch is a late breakfast/early lunch? I think so.
Everything is relative. If you don’t want milkweed, these bugs will take care of it! One thing too, no aphids! But then, no milkweed plants for the monarch caterpillars either.
Okay, I’m running like crazy this morning. My daughter and granddaughter will be arriving soon at the airport and I need to pick them up. We’ll be moving her corgis back home and probably have lunch or something.
But I did make word count! Over word count! Now I just need to finish the story. I’ve been writing every day, despite the dog distractions. I’ve been filling in scenes that I skipped, wrote 4,000 words yesterday, but still need to write the final scene and keep thinking of things that need to be explained. How did they get their cars back home when they took a helicopter out of there? Little things like that. 🙂
Okay, off to type up notes before I have to run to the airport.
