Erin Chambers is leaving the FBI to join her father in his Big Cat Investigative Agency. She loved her job, but she wants to be closer to her father and have more freedom to run as a jaguar shifter when she can. But she knows dealing with her dad’s sole private investigator, Jason Biggerstaff, is going to take some work. He’s a hot jaguar and turns up the heat whenever he’s around her without any effort at all, to her consternation. But he’s not fond of the FBI, and she and he butt heads all the time. African Elephant in the Snow

I had created a picture with this elephant for spring. I took the picture at one of the zoos. But then I thought it would be fun to winterize it. So the poor elephant went from a rainy spring day to a cold winter’s day.

Today I’m working on 5 bears and editing Christmas Wolf Surprise and redoing my Guardian Demon series covers. I think that’s enough for one day. My son went home last night, so now I have no excuse not to get more done. lol Though I imagine I won’t get all these things done today! And tomorrow we’re back to child care.

I worked late on the books so I didn’t get enough sleep this morning. My internal alarm clock won’t let me sleep in. I have to work on edits on another book and at least 3 bear orders, so I’ll try to get some of that done today when I can.

My son and I missed our walk yesterday. We were going to walk while the turkey and ham were cooking, but it poured rain until after my daughter and her family arrived. We had 4″ of rain. Badly needed, so I was glad.

We played board games and watched movies and had a lot of fun. I’ll probably babysit today so they can see a movie since my SIL couldn’t take off time to see some with us. And my son and I hope to get in a walk, but brrrr, it’s cold!

This turkey is at the Omaha wildlife reserve so no chance of getting eaten for the holiday!

While the Wolf’s Away

So following in this Thanksgiving’s tradition of my son flying into the wrong airport, my son-in-law missing his turn off on the way home, I made a reservation at the wrong Pappasitas Cantina for dinner. There are two on I45, both near us, but we always go to the north one. At least mine was easily rectified and it worked out even better. Canceled at the one place for 5:30, and could only get the 6 p.m. time, but it gave us all time to get there and we drove in one car. So that worked. We’ve never done the online reservation and what a savings that was. Especially with a baby and preschooler. Some others who were waiting said, “I guess they made reservations.”

Yes! We were finally the ones with reservations. lol Anyway, my son was telling me about a restaurant in Venice that they went in to eat at that you have to make reservations 3 months in advance. They were on their honeymoon, luckily the year before COVID and of course they didn’t know it. Just as they were about to leave, a manager said, “Wait! Someone just canceled. You can have the table.” They really lucked out. Another couple that was there said to them, “You must have made reservations 3 months ago.” The other couple had! They were Americans too and knew about the waiting time.

Okay, well, I’m going to get back to proofing a book.

This one comes out in April! Don’t you LOVE the cover?

Pumpkin Bear is Off to Her Forever Home!

Not getting a whole lot done, but we’re having fun. We went to a 4D Theater yesterday to watch the new Ghostbuster movie. That was really fun. None of us have done that before. The seats move, stuff felt like it was hitting us, air and mist blows on you. It was a wild ride and the movie was great too!

We put up the Christmas tree but we’re still decorated for Thanksgiving and will put all that away after the dinner on Thursday. We’re going out for dinner tonight and to see Christmas lights.

It turned cold and it’s supposed to rain all day on Thanksgiving, but we’ll be making a dinner and will be enjoying family, board games, so that works for us!

The Adventure

My son and granddaughter playing on phone aps. They were cute.

My son went to the wrong airport and we had to drive an hour south of where we live through all the Houston traffic. At least my SIL was driving, but on my son’s return trip, I’ll have to take him. We ended up going to a brisket place to have lunch because my son loves Texas brisket, and no one does it in Nebraska like they do here. The food was good, we pack up and head north. My SIL missed his exit and we ended up traveling an extra half hour in the car while I’m entertaining the baby who wants to be fed and get out of the car seat. lol

We had a lovely time though and today will be a new adventure, I’m sure!

Another hectic day!

I did get the print cover for Angel Fae done and Wild Thing–You Make My Heart Sing is done! So she’ll be shipped today hopefully. I had hoped to finish 2 more last night, but I had little one all day and I was trying to make the cover for the print version of Angel Fae and get it ready to publish.
