Happy Thanksgiving!

I’m thankful for so many things, including those who follow and read my blogs!

I have to make a couple announcements. Dreaming of a White Wolf Christmas made Apple’s Romance of the Week. Super excited about that.

And Mated for Christmas is on sale for a few days!

So yesterday, I mostly did my 3-year-old grandson’s laundry, and he helped me sort and put his things away. He also matched up his socks so I could roll them together. Only we were missing three socks. I found one this morning in my clothes and just found one outside (Tanner, my sock-stealing Havenese, had taken it outside last night), and we’re still missing one.

But at least I’m truly thankful we found two of them!

Woohoo Cold This Morning!

I love it! I was out adding more dirt in flowerboxes. I have another 5 bags to empty, but I did 5 already. It makes such a difference when it’s cool out. I need to hang another solar light, so after that is done, that will be done! lol

I managed to get 1400 words done yesterday. I always shoot for 2,000. Everything has been so hectic. I picked up more breakfast foods for my grandson. I’m not much of a breakfast person. But he’ll be here for 4 days straight, no rushed mornings for daycare, so I picked up sausages and eggs and more yogurt. Hopefully, he’ll eat them!

It’s getting to look a lot like Christmas…

It might not be snowy Christmas-like, but it’s cooler in the mornings, cold some mornings, and feeling super nice. The cat is my friend’s.

I only got 500 words on the book yesterday. We were busy and I was rewriting scenes, so it meant deleting and writing and not just writing new scenes.

Not sure what we’re going to do today, other than we’re going to put up some Christmas lights outside and Christmas decorations on stakes. I got him a Christmas activity book–matching, picking out the right beginnings of words, mazes, different pictures in a row, etc. and he sat on my lap so we could work it together.

Plus, we always do clingy decorations on a window, so he removed the fall ones and put up Christmas ones. We went to karate and he was tired and grouchy, until he got to hit grandma with the noodle. I got to get him first though. He was laughing when he was doing it to me and I was glad he was in good spirits. Off to get busy before little one wakes.

Magical Reflections of Scotland

A few years back I captured this shot of the mirror-like loch and the fall colors, the little stepping stones and their reflections. It’s like seeing double the pleasure of the scene.

I’m back to Scotland, in my dreams, while I continue to write Stolen Highland Dreams.

I was working on putting my flowerbeds back where they belong and birdhouses and such, after the fence was replaced. It is so muggy! When will it ever cool down?

But the good news is we had thunderstorms and rain yesterday of 1.5 inches and that was really welcome!!! And call me confused, but I looked at my bedroom clock this morning and thought, wait, I thought we were supposed to fall back. It didn’t. But my watch, phone, computers did. I had to change my stove clock, and I need to go out and change my car clock. Did you fall back??? If you needed to?

I’m back to the book. I need about 20K to finish it!

Lots of Dogs in Scotland–Here’s a Kitty Cat

We were walking by Edinburgh Castle down below and I spotted this sleepy cat half watching us. What a perfect perch for a nap high above the world.

I’ve got grandkid duty constantly–Saturday, little one. Monday, both kids, Tuesday, maybe both, but one for sure. I still need to do my writing, so I’m off to do it before little one arrives.

I’m updating Loving the White Bear, final proofing–8 more chapters to go. I’m working on Winning the Highlander’s Heart, but I want to get back to the new Highland book I was working on, a little paranormal, but this one isn’t a shifter book. I haven’t written a Highland story in 7 years, so I want to finish this up!
