I’m off to work on Bite of the Vampire and a little bit on Highland Wolf. My son-in-law, baby, and dogs are staying over the weekend because of the Girl Scouts staying overnight at their home. I’m still waiting on edits so I can finish Highland Wolf. It’s due Monday.
In the meantime, I’m washing and vacuuming. My son-in-law is really allergic to dust and such, so I’m hoping that will help.
Okay, I’m back to the books also. And if you have a dog or cat, give them the dish washing chore. Ewwwww. lol
He was one of my favorite characters to see at the Ren Faire.
We had wild thunderstorms in the middle of the night and had an inch of rain. Yay!
I’m working on Bite of the Vampire again today until I get the last edits in for Highland Wolf. I added 2,000 words. I’m getting close to the end, but when I was listening to all of the thunder last night, I was trying to think of how to conclude this. Still trying to come up with a Halloween wolf story too. That was another thing I was thinking about while the storm was raging.
I need to move two more tomato plants. The other 2 are doing well in their new home.
Hope your day is super fun! I’m off to fight a vampire war!
Still working on edits and then once I have the last in, I’ll finish it. Because of having the kids late yesterday, I only managed 1,000 words on Bite of the Vampire, but I had the edits on Highland Wolf too, so I managed to get some stuff done. Cut down another dead boxwood and a volunteer youpon holly and I moved 2 tomato plants. Need to move 2 more. I thought today was Thursday, but no one had their garbage out. lol That’s because it’s Wednesday. What do I know?
Have a fun day! I’m off to get some more word count on Bite of the Vampire. I think I figured out my next few scenes. I just need to sit down, concentrate, and immerse myself in them and that’s the fun part!
Zoo picture surroundings can be boring, so it’s fun to pizazz them up a bit. He was on the prowl which is always fun.
I managed another 2,000 on Bite of the Vampire, so it’s up to 44K. I want to reach 50K on it for a personal goal, but I’m excited about getting near the end of the story after a decade of working on it intermittently, due to other deadlines.
I did a couple of minor corrections to Highland Wolf. Names are always my downfall. If a name can be spelled a different way or three, I include it. lol I’m just waiting for my beta readers’ notes and then I’ll make all the corrections, reread it and turn it in.
Okay, I’m off to get ready for the toddler. He’s really not a baby, but at this age, they still are.
I love it when my busy little critters hold still so I can take a good shot of them!
Little one is on his way. I need to get this done, and some other things done before he arrives! I added 2,000 words to Bite of the Vampire yesterday (42K so far)–a YA. My daughter had a couple of cute ideas for the third story that is at 14000 words (Night of the Vampire). My son sent me some ideas on the scuba diving part of Highland Wolf. He and Inge have had 100 dives, so he’s my expert on that. And my beta readers are reading Highland Wolf so I can make any changes and send it in.
I want to come up with an idea for a wolf Halloween novella and I need to re-read some of my white wolf stories so I can proceed on the next story for their pack.
I was feeling really good about it yesterday. I managed to get to 89K and counting. I’m working on the edits again today and need to STILL finish the end and then work in another scene. Then the fun part–reading the finished story to edit some more–is coming up.
I’m off to work!
Have a great day and stay safe if you have tornadoes running around!
Baby wanted to go away from the herd. Big sister said, “No, you have to go this way.” Baby, being babies, kept turning around to go in the opposite direction. Big sister was keeping him from going anywhere but with the herd. Here you can see she was giving him a little push and he’s resisting. lol
Okay, I’m off to work on the story. I’m running out of time but I did manage to get 4,000 words yesterday and I’m up to 85K. Yay!
