The chickadees rarely sit still for me, so I got lucky, though it would have been better if the chain hadn’t been in the way.
So I forgot to blog today. Little one is here today and we were trying to learn how to read some words. She hates doing it, so I was trying to make it fun. If she could read the word on the card, she took a step forward. When she read enough and was to me, we hugged. Now what can be better than that?
She’s down for a nap, but she should be up any minute now. It’s a rainy day. We hurried to the mailbox to get the mail before we got too wet and did the same to feed the birds. 100% chance rain all day and night.
I woke thinking I had enough sleep. I hadn’t. I yawned all morning, and finally took an hour and a half nap later that afternoon. I needed it. Felt much better. Could write lots more.
So I was reading that if you don’t get enough sleep, you can do deep breathing for 10 minutes and that will make you feel better. I didn’t get enough sleep. I’m deep breathing.
I think I feel better. lol

The clouds are mine, and then I used the grasses from Daily Texture and the pond from Lynne Anzelc and created the saber tooth tigers from Daz3D.
So I managed 3,000 words yesterday at the last minute, left my characters at a cliff hanger, literally, came home and wrote a little more, but mainly edited. We had a fun night with baby sleeping in my arms and playing a dinosaur tea party an zingo with the family after having fajitas. Lots of fun!
I will be at the halfway point today! And have a little more on the story, but have to take the dogs in for their 2nd flu shot today first.

When I was growing up, I loved dinosaurs, saber-tooth tigers, woolly mammoths, and dire wolves. They were fascinating to me. It’s amazing how many more kinds of dinosaurs they’ve found over the years and that some even wore feathers.
So I have dinner with the kids tonight to take 9 month old pictures of my grandson. Shooting for 38K today on the book. I managed 1,000 yesterday finally. Had some other book projects to manage. I had to create the new print cover for His Wild Highland Lass and reupload that. I still had the old one on there.
Okay, got to feed the doggies and get going on my writing. I often write at night but I’ll be busy tonight, so need to focus. lol

So I’m still working like crazy on Wolf’s Second Chance and still hoping to reach 40K by Sunday.
I created this because I was going to use it in the trailer for Angel Fae but didn’t finish it in time. I can use it in the trailer I need to make for Emerald Isle of Mists. I’m still working on the trailer for While the Wolf’s Away, but it doesn’t come out for a while. Still, the way I’m always behind on promo, I figure it’s worth it to try and get it done earlier.
I started a corned beef in the crockpot. I love to make meals like that and just forget about. Then when I’m ready to eat, it’s ready to be eaten! Off to get ready for my granddaughter.

I finally got around to making the book trailer for Angel Fae yesterday. I just got quality approval on Dawn of the Jaguar’s audio book and it should be available soon. I uploaded it to Findaway Voices, which has a great distribution list, but I had to revise the cover for their site specifications. I also made a trailer for The Best of Both Worlds and working on While the Wolf’s Away. And I need to make one for Dawn of the Jaguar. They can take a while to make, but they’re so much fun.
The narrator for the Highland book said she would be uploading hers soon so I can proof it.
The dentist’s office wanted me to come in for a teeth cleaning again. Say what? I just had my teeth cleaned and I’m not paying to have it done every two months. Okay–March. No–May. That’s 6 months.
I’m off to get my word count today on The Wolf’s Second Chance. Hope to have 40K by Sunday and be halfway done on minimum word count.
And I’ve been goofing off with taking pictures of a hairy woodpecker this morning. I missed the tufted titmouse, chickadees and red-breasted woodpecker. Goldfinches everywhere. Bluejays chased everyone off. Doves and cardinals have come back. It’s a bird sanctuary and so much fun. The bluebirds will be arriving soon I’m sure. It was 32 this morning, so they are hungry.

No one should have been in her room, and now she suspected the key-card noise she’d heard just minutes earlier had been the real deal. Who the hell had a key to her room? She called on her wolf, heat rushing through every bone and through every muscle. Confronting a human like this wasn’t something wolves would normally do when they were taught to hide their identity at all costs from humans. But the intruder couldn’t see her shift and she was afraid—since he was bold enough to remain there when she was taking a shower—she could be in a world of hurt if she didn’t do something to protect herself.
As soon as she had turned into a big red wolf with big ears, big teeth, and big wolf paws, she pushed the shower curtain aside with her nose, leaped out of the tub, slid on the bath mat, and tore out of the bathroom and into the room. As soon as the man saw movement, turned, and noticed her coming at him, the would-be thief jumped straight into the air. He cried out with a strangled sound and made a dash for the door.
That was what she liked to see. Him scared to pieces and running for his life. Though her own heart was beating triple time, the adrenaline surging through her blood preparing her to flee or fight. Fighting was more what she had in mind.
Imagine him thinking he was robbing a defenseless human but suddenly was faced with a snarling wolf!

We seem to be going through lower GI issues of late so I don’t have little one today which means I need to get on the ball and get my word count in. I hoped to get my promo stuff together for release day tomorrow also.
It’s a rainy day, and I love rainy days since it’s been sooooo dry. We needed some rain.

Okay, I’ve got to feed the birds, the dogs, not in that order, and then get to writing. It’s going to be a little warmer today–57, yay! And 99% chance of rain tomorrow. We needed rain, so that’s good.
Created the wizard this morning from DAZ3D when I should be writing. The gold dragon and elf were created from DAZ3D also.
So I’m off like a snail to get to writing! I pondered and pondered and pondered the story throughout the night. It’s time to do something with all those thoughts.
