Trick-or-Treating tonight. I think it’s going to be chilly. We carved pumpkins, I painted mine, I’ll have to show them off tomorrow. I haven’t downloaded the pictures yet. Slow start to my day trying to create this picture!
Going to a preschool trunk party trick-or-treating tonight. I’m so glad I live close to my kids so we can do this together. So we’re dressing up as trolls and some of the parents are putting out the treats everyone brought for the event and decorating their vehicles. Little one is here for the day so we’re going to go to the grocery store in a little while and get the ingredients for Monster Tacos for Sunday’s Halloween meal. We always do something fun for Halloween.
I always have to dress my dogs for Halloween, just for fun too. They’re so good-natured.
It’s actually chilly today and will be tonight so we’ll have to bundle up a bit. I’m glad!
I love these little ghosts somebody had in their yard every year. I took pictures of them one year when I was walking with my granddaughter. I created this for an art challenge at Oscraps.
Done proofing A United Shifter Christmas, yay!! I need to turn it in and check another deadline off my list. So I’m back to Angel Fae this morning.
I think I’m going to paint my pumpkin this weekend instead of carve it. The year before last, I did a great job. Last year, awful! lol And with my hand hurting still, I think painting is the way to go. I also hope to cut out the three bears today. I had to wait to learn what the last person wanted for their bear–large, suede paws.
I’m hoping I can make big strides on Angel Fae today!!!
Today bestselling author Terry Spear brings you the wolf shifters you’ve been wishing of for Christmas in this action-packed paranormal holiday romance!
It’s almost Christmas, and Florida gray wolf shifter and veterinarian Gabrielle Lowe has been talked into going with her friends to a ski resort in Silver Town, Colorado. But when her two jaguar girlfriends are held up on a mission, it not only leaves Gabrielle alone for the holidays, but also out of her element at the snowy resort. Determined to make the best of it, Gabrielle takes a dip in the lodge’s heated pool—after it’s closed, of course…
Gray wolf shifter Landon Wolff is part owner of the ski lodge and he’s got enough on his plate getting ready for the annual influx of Christmas visitors. The last thing he needs is a rebel, indulging in a midnight swim long after the pool is closed. Just as he’s about to throw the rule breaker out of the pool he realizes that Gabby is also a wolf. Suddenly, all the rules change… Maybe Landon will finally find the wolf he’s always wanted to share the holidays with.
Clouded Leopard–with this challenge, we had to use 2 different shades of brown, beige and yellow/gold.
I was 4,000 words behind yesterday. How did that happen? So yesterday, I finally got 3,000 words done. Maybe I can get a thousand words today while my granddaughter is here or after she leaves. This is my off day. So we’ve been painting on an old pair of her shoes this morning. Her daddy couldn’t find her white ones, probably in mommy’s car. lol
I finally got around to more weeding also. It’s going to be hot through Wednesday, so hopefully Wednesday the temps will drop and it will be really super nice out by about 20 degrees ripped off the heat and I can get the rest of my weeding done.
The dogs killed a rat sometime in the morning yesterday. I’ve been putting the dogs out in the middle of the night when the rats return to eat the birdseed and my pine cones. I found a pile of 50 pine cones stripped of all their pine cone seeds all over the backyard yesterday. I saw 2 pine cones out there this morning after cleaning up the others, so I know the rats are still coming, but not as many. Hopefully, they’ll stay away for a while after the dogs killed one. Max is a hunter, so fast. Tanner is fast, but he quits quickly. Having him out there confuses the rats though and if they turn away from him, Max can get the rat.
Okay, enough rat news. The pictures I took turned out really cute. And I finished all the Oscraps contests, so need to concentrate on writing. The book is nearly at minimum word count. Hope to do the final proofing on USF Christmas this weekend. But we’re also carving pumpkins, going to a Halloween party dressed as Trolls, and Trick-or-Treating on Sunday. So not sure how much I’m going to get done! And I need to make 3 bear orders.
Hope you all have a great day. My granddaughter is anxiously awaiting my return to help her paint her shoes. But we paused to do some workbook activities.
Playing around with more art challenges. The one picture is of an owl I took. I hear them in the middle of the night every once in a while and I wish I could take pictures of them. I’ve never seen them though.
I need to get to work! I think I might have have written 1,000 words yesterday, a 1,000 short of what I wanted. I babysat, took pumpkin pictures, did pre-makeup session for Trolls Halloween. So it was a busy day. Plus I need to download all those pictures and edit and send some to my daughter too today.
I’m off to type up notes and I need a lot more on my writing today. *sigh* I also need groceries, but going to try to make it until Tuesday. I don’t have any milk for little one though.
Started wearing a fitbit again so besides keeping track of my exercise, I’m really trying to get better about drinking more water!!! And about attempting to sleep more. If I have goals, I work at them. If I don’t, I let it slide.
We’re going to do picture taking today with scarecrows and pumpkins and bales of straw. And I think we’re going to carve pumpkins, not sure. Now, straw is supposed to be great for the garden, weed free. Ha! Last year, we put the straw out and we had the most beautiful sprigs of hay growing. I finished the scarecrow for my granddaughter, and yes, she helped unbraid yarn for hair, sew a little, and stuff the arms with plastic sacks and with her baby brother’s, she also helped button his clothes.
Next year, I’ll make a cute witch from one of her costumes for when she was a toddler.
I need to make a big bear for my daughter-in-law for Christmas too, so I’m going to start working on that soon. And we’re going to scribble paint on my granddaughter’s plain white tennis shoes. Her mom approved. So that’s our next little craft project.
Oscraps challenge: using 3 different fonts. The teddy bear is one I created.
And haven’t gotten anything done. I was playing around with Oscrap challenges, chasing rats, weeding, painting some more of the scarecrow’s face, but haven’t begun on the story yet.
I couldn’t sleep this morning, and was thinking of the new one I want to write. So I wrote a little of it when I should have been sleeping.
