The fox was a flat watercolor and I added “fur” and the wings are fractals, added light. also added eye.
NaNoWriMo is coming up for the month of November. I’m usually in the middle of a book when it starts and I have so many books started, I don’t want to start another one. So this time, I’m going to write Wolf Pack. It’s a novella and I should be able to finish it over the month. Angel Fae is close to being done, as far as writing the story. I have 43K, plan at least 10K more, that always changes as I try to wrap up a story and have more loose ends to cover. I have a book cover for both, yay. I need to start writing the books I have covers for!
I don’t have a start on Wolf Pack, but I LOVE the cover by Rainy Day Art. I’ve just never had time to write it. It’s going to be more of a historical wolf story, where the wolves began. So that should be fun.
As soon as it’s light out, I hope to get out and weed though first thing. It will be hot every afternoon again until next week, I think.
Hope you all have a wonderful day. I need to get going with mine!
Another Monday. Little one will be here momentarily and we finished her brother’s scarecrow, so we’re working on hers today. I also managed to make my 2,000 words yesterday on Angel Fae and made the angel wolf from fractals, both for the background and the wings. So much fun!
I weeded a ton yesterday and am getting just about caught up! I love this time of year because the flowers are blooming again, we have some cooler weather to work in, and we with the slight cool down in the mornings at night, it’s helping to slow down grass and weed growth. Yay!
A culinary artist I am not, but I thought my little dragon didn’t turn out too badly.
So we might make more squiggly graham cracker creations for dessert. Not sure. But we’re going to have a great day!
Okay, I’m off to work. As soon as it’s light out, I’m weeding. Nice and cool out, but it’s going to get hot again next week. But right now I’m doing edits on Angel Fae and then I can start writing again to get my word count in.
Barely got my word count yesterday on Angle Fae. I had a ton of stuff to do. I’ve still been painting the scarecrow’s face and I just messed it up so badly this morning when I went to add some tea staining around the eyes and ended up getting the freshly painted new black on one eye dragged where it shouldn’t have been. ugh. I told you. It could look great until I messed with the face, and it was looking pretty good–until then. *sigh*
Okay, I’m off to try and get more writing done. I’ll be doing some yard work too. It’s 60 this morning, yay!
In Legend of the White Wolf, I have Bigfoot hunters, and so in the latest red wolf Christmas story, I’ve gone back to the hunters.
I’m off to work on Angel Fae. I have 32K and want at least 55K on it. I had some ideas floating in my head when I woke in the middle of the night, but the problem with that is they just…float away.
I’ve been weeding the backyard like crazy. My daughter wants a crepe myrtle, and a couple of esperanzas and I’m going to see if I can find some baby ferns. They’re going to weed this weekend, so I’ll go out and dig up volunteers that I can find. I’m not sure on the ferns, but I do have some baby esperanzas and crepe myrtles.
One year, before little ones came on the scene, my daughter and I went to the zoo for Halloween, and the small cats and large, all had pumpkins to chew on. So much fun. This one is a clouded leopard and she looks very…possessive!
I created the Halloween video to showcase my 3 years of Halloween stories: The Witch and the Jaguar, Cougar Halloween Mischief, and Saving the White Cougar. I also included some Halloween composites I’ve created for Halloween! Next year, I intend to write a wolf Halloween story, and the next year? The bears’!
Little one will be here soon, so trying to get a few things done before she is! Hope you all have a great day. It was thundering this morning, and raining a little, though it wasn’t supposed to! But I always welcome the rain, and it’s been so hot, maybe it will cool things down a bit!
Decided to have some fun with Halloween picture creations before Halloween is over since I write paranormal and I don’t want the chance to slip away! It doesn’t mean I won’t make them afterwards either. Halloween is any time of year!
I sent my wolves out this morning at five to chase off the rats, but the rats haven’t returned. I guess that will work for a little while, anyway! But I’m sure they’ll be back–like Arnold would say.
I usually listen to another youtube music video if I need some music. I’m writing about the fae, Angel Fae, this time, and I saw this picture when I was trying to help a fellow Photoshop user with how to create clipping masks and sent her some tutorial links. But this caught my eye and I and wanted to see what the music sounded like. Perfect so far! Dramatic, otherworldly. So I’m editing before I begin typing notes I wrote last night. It’s so much more fun when I can listen to music that makes me feel as though I’m in their world….
Okay, I’m off to work. Halfway done on Angel Fae.
It’s been hot in the mornings even, but once it’s light out, I’ll try and get some more weeding done. Have a super fun day and let the music carry you away!
Okay, I’m off to write. Been outside weeding before it gets too hot! I need to do a TON more, but I also need to get my word count in and a million other things done. Plus, I notice when I do too much, my wrist that was broken begins to hurt a lot. The tendons are still healing. I try to pull mostly with my other hand, but sometimes I just need two hands to get the really tough weeds out.
Have a fun, spooky day! And when things go bump in the night…
Hey, it’s your prompt, your story! What do you do?
Flashlight? Turn on lights? Stumble around in the dark? Hide under the covers? Go back to sleep? Send the dogs in search of it? Ha! My dogs would stick close to me so I’d protect them! Check out the basement? Of course! First thing on my list to do if I had a basement. Walk down those rickety steps, creaking all the way, waking the dead, and any spooky spirits about…
Okay, yeah, I know, it’s YOUR story. So what would YOU do?
