Both Rusty Bear and Aqua Bear are new furs. Aqua is going to her home already! They’re 10.5″ bears with faux suede paws, fully jointed. Their fur is plush.
I finished proofing on Angel Fae, now need to make the changes! Little one is here so hopefully I can get that done and work on some bears. She’s having blueberry mermaid waffles this morning. I just did the hand inspection to make sure she didn’t have waffle syrup all over her fingers before she starts to play. Yay! Clean fingers!
I never thought I’d be running out to do errands every day!! Normally once every two weeks is fine. But other things dictate more trips today and Friday. I think when I have my granddaughter, we’re going to chill at home. And actually, it’s going to be cold, so I think that’s about the word for it.
I took the picture of the macaw at a zoo, and created the bubble and added him to it!
Since I have to run errands again today, I’m shipping a contest winner’s book and another bear order. I’m hoping to have some more bears done to ship on Friday. It’s Thanksgiving next week and my son is coming in on Saturday for the week, so it will be family time and I’ve run out of time for other stuff! How did that happen???
I’m working on proofing Angel Fae. I have 70 pages to go, 100 done. Hope to have the book ready for publication soon!
A new bear fur. I haven’t sold this 10 1/2″ bear yet, but I did sell a big 19″ version of her that I need to make up!
I’m off to find out how much it will cost to ship a bear to Glasgow and run some other errands. I bought some lights at Walmart and I need a couple of more strings. Doing something different this year since I don’t put lights on my house and it looks a little forlorn. 🙂
Working on edits today on Angel Fae and hope to begin proofing it today and tomorrow.
I need to get back to writing, but I never take a break so this is it. Making bears. But I have been editing earlier stories I’ve started too, trying to get into something that I can’t let go of.
The large one and a small version of Aqua Bear have also found homes.
I’m working on a Powder Puff Pink Bear, Sky Blue Bear, Baby Blue Bear, Aqua Bear, Rusty Bear, and another Party Bear, different coloration, in addition to a Greek bear, and I need to embroider paws! Sky Blue, Aqua, Rusty, and Party Bear are all new fabrics.
Okay, I’m off like a herd of turtles to get to work on something!
I had three orders and shipped them. But I was thinking that I have a number of bears made up and I really need to showcase them. When I counted them, I had 15!! So then I was in the process of adding bows and taking their photos! Thankfully, all the bears cooperated.
Amethyst bear is sold–twice. I need to make up another. And Aqua Bear is a special order. Grizzly Bear is a 15″ Bear. Aqua Bear is a 19″ and the others are 10.5″. http://www.celticbears.com
Okay, I’ve got to work on a bear! I need to make a Greek one and I have the bear for it (not shown), just need to create an outfit. And I have two Amethyst bears to work on.
I’ve been making bears forever, but also won best of show and first place ribbons for some of them and they’ve been featured in Teddy Bear magazines and Texas Monthly. Then I began to get published, but I still love making teddy bears!
Both are off to their forever homes tomorrow!
We had wild thunderstorms this morning, which means I was having a time getting the doggies out to do their business. It finally settled down weather-wise and I’m glad the dogs aren’t little puppies and can hold it. lol It really was violent this morning, thunder, lightning, but looks like it’s done for the day. It’s still getting up to 76 during the day, welcome compared to 100! But Sunday we have a cold front coming in.
When I took the picture of the elk, it was fall, very cold, Thanksgiving, but not snowing. The wildlife reserve closes down the at the first snowfall. So I winterized the photo for fun.
I finished all my edits on Angel Fae and turned it over to my beta readers. I was going to start working on Wolf Pack, but began working on two of the bear orders instead. I have to take Max in for vaccinations in just a little bit. In the meantime, I’m sewing on bear ears!
I created this using Daily Texture backgrounds and the girl and falcons are from Daz3D. I needed a taste of fall. I actually do have a Falcon Fae story out.
(The World of Fae, Book 9)
Prince Owen is tasked with the mission of encouraging Sigrid—a magic user, a falcon fae like him, and the granddaughter of the traitor who tried to take over Owen’s grandfather’s kingdom—to return with him to the falcon fae kingdom to fight their enemy. Only, as far as Sigrid is concerned, Owen and his royal family are her enemies.
She is their last hope to fight a powerful mage, but she’s not buying it. Not until the dark fae queen advises her to do what her grandfather had tried to do before she was born—take over the kingdom!
My daughter wants to decorate for Christmas before my son gets here, but I have everything done up in fall for Thanksgiving. So I think what I’ll do is when he arrives, poor guy–but he did say he’d help me decorate for Christmas–we’ll set up the tree and then AFTER Thanksgiving, we’ll set up the rest of the decorations. I don’t do a lot outside because it’s just too hard for me to do myself and I don’t want to pay someone exorbitant prices for putting up lights on the house, etc. I used to do that with my old homes. I mean, myself. But even though it’s a one-story, the overhangs are higher. I can’t even reach the gutters to clean them from an 8 foot ladder. I need to be at least 6 feet tall. Or have stretchable arms. lol Or have a taller ladder. And with uneven ground, I can just imagine myself falling and breaking something. My neck the next time, maybe.
So I finished edits on Angel Fae, but I realized that I had mentioned her friend later in the book, so I needed to rectify that, and the assassin from the beginning needs to be tied up somehow. Which meant I went to bed really late, and couldn’t stop thinking of how to do both these things!
I finally just ended up writing a few notes down at 2:30 this morning because I knew two things: I would keep thinking about them, trying to remember them. And when I woke the next morning, I’d probably have forgotten what I had come up with. So that should work, right? Yes and no. I quit thinking about the story, true, but then I kept thinking about a million other things.
Okay, so I’m off to write up my notes, and hopefully finish this all the rest of the way and turn it over to my beta readers.
Then I’m back to working on Wolf Pack. It’s my NaNaWrMo book, but it’s more important to me to finish the book that’s nearly finished. Not to mention I’ll be getting edits in for a couple of other books, I always do at Thanksgiving, so I need to have time to do that.
