Finished proofing Bite of the Vampire. I’ve got to run to get my driver’s license renewal. I wish I could do it online. 🙁
I’m getting scheduled up this week, and hope to get both Bite of the Vampire ready to publish and my word count on White Wolf. I think this weekend I’m finally free to just write.
We rarely see them. Only like in the spring when they’re on their way to somewhere else and I only see one. But he was great at posing for me. The background is a tree I had taken a picture of in the fall and then added textures over so it looks kind of Monet-ish.
So I woke in the middle of the night thinking I needed Christmas stuff earlier and a different opening on white wolf. I’ll open with an office Christmas party at the white wolf PI agency. I’ll just move the other part that I started to the place after that. It’s all a great few scenes and 12K, so no way am I starting over from scratch.
Have little one here today We had 4.5 inches of rain, maybe more. We walked to the mailbox and I’ve been pulling out wild grape and a thorny vine and tons of oak seedlings all over the yard. Possibly more rain on its way and the mosquitoes are coming out.
I’m off to work before we have lunch together. It’s storming still. Usually the rain comes and is gone. Not this time. We had storms, then sun, then when we reached the high school where they were having the dance recital, it poured. And yes, I left my rain jacket at home. I have umbrellas in my car, but my SIL doesn’t, soooo we were a little wet. lol We had 3 1/2″ of rain yesterday. It’s sprinkling out now, but the storms are a brewing.-
The heat is on! I have several oak trees growing in my lawn. I was pulling them out. And a bright yellow toadstool. I’ll have to download the picture one of these days. We’re going to my granddaughter’s dance recital this afternoon, so I need to get my writing done before that happens. I’m at 9,000 today. 71K left to go.
We have possible storms this afternoon. For the last two days, we’ve had a heat index of 98 already. Too early for that much heat!
We had another 2 inches of rain yesterday and it’s supposed to be raining on and off all day today. I’m going to have lunch with my granddaughter today. Only 2 weeks left of school, so I’ll be having lunch with her next week at school and then that’s it. She’ll be here 4 days a week, two of them with baby brother. Hopefully, I can still get some writing done, though we’ll be doing some fun stuff also.
I did manage to get 1,000 words done on White Wolf and 2,000 on Night of the Vampire done yesterday.
But today is a 2,000 word day on White Wolf, so need to get it done.

Little one will be here shortly. We had a really wild storm last night! We’re supposed to have storms all day today starting around 11. That’s always a far out guesstimate. In reality? We have no idea. Maybe earlier. Maybe later. I was going to take baby to the grocery store yesterday but he was yawning and rubbing his eyes first thing, so no time after he took his nap and we had to pick up my granddaughter. So we might try today. It’s supposed to rain all week.

Angry Birds. This is like when my birds squabble over the feeders when there is plenty of food.
Well, I finally started the new white wolf book, and I have the first 2,000 words. Onward and upward. Seventy-eight thousand words to go. I can do it. No, I don’t know what I’m writing yet. But sometimes I just have to begin it just to get it going and then it starts to develop.
I had baby all weekend, so today, it feels like it should be Wed, but I have him Mondays and Tuesdays. He’s a sweetheart though and we have fun. If the kids bring him in and he doesn’t get to stay at Grandma’s house for a while, he’s very upset.
He’s about due, so need to get some more things done before he’s here.
