Dragon Family

My throat is so sore! I managed to get cream of wheat down with milk, trying that again and applesauce. That chemo did a number on my throat and it doesn’t feel any better.

Just swallowing is painful. I’ve got laryngitis too. But I started shots last night to help the stem cells grow, so that’s good news. 🙂

Hope you’re having a fun day!

  1. Good Morning Terry
Apple juice is easy on the throat. I had chickenpox as a teenager; actually I had it twice, also as a child.
They say if you get it when you are older the second time around is terrible. It was, spots even on my eyelids. But the worst was down my throat. The only thing I could get down was apple juice and vanilla ice cream.
Hopefully your throat will get better soon.
    Love the dragon family.
I have so many volunteer plans growing where I removed the river rock; 7 Common Mallows, 1 Columbine, 8 Poppies, 1 Borage and 1 Hollyhock.
I found a mallow growing long in the my ground cover; so I cut the top of a branch from it and put it in a pot with rooting hormone and hopefully it will root. So I got two from 1 mallow (the Hollyhock family).
I also rescued my Bleeding Heart and will move it and my Delphinium in the spring.
Two more weeks and my fence is supposed scheduled to be worked on.
Well that’s all the news for now.
I am praying your throat will get better soon.

    • Oh, I’m so thrilled you’re finding so many flowers!! woot on the fence!!! I’m dealing with a bloody nose right now. My platelets are so low that my blood isn’t clotting like it’s supposed to, argh.

I have been thinking and praying about your sore throat.
Forget the apple juice as it is too sweet.
I do recommend milk, whole milk or 2%.
Skim milk is not good for you, in fact it is very bad for you.
Milk has calcium for strong bones.
My mom was a nurse and she told me never to stop having milk. I am 76 and I still having milk every day.
I have had four bad falls and no broken bones.
Gave this advice to my daughter and she gave it to my granddaughter. Even better yet non pasteurized goats milk.
You have a great day my Friend. I put your dragon family in my camera roll on my iPad to keep reminding me to pray for you; also the Lavender dragon.
God is with you, keep looking to Him for strength.
    Love Sheila

    • I think I can’t have milk right now. The chemo produced a very thick mucous and it’s hard to swallow. I’m going to try water in the cream of wheat this morning to see if it helps. My throat is still really sore. And I had a really bad nosebleed last night. They thought they were going to have to cauterize it. They gave me platelets and that finally stopped it. I’d had 27, but it had gone down to 7, way too low. They help your blood to clot. So it was a terrible night. I was throwing up blood it was so bad. 🙁
I feel better today now that I don’t have a nosebleed. 🙂 It’s amazing the little things you appreciate.
