I finished Christmas Cougar Catastrophe and am off to work on Bear in Pursuit, the 2nd book in the Grizzly Bear series! Bear in Mind is the first book.
I’m having a quiet New Year’s Eve, just working on the new story, the other is off to beta readers.

It was 36 when I got up this morning. It’s very cold out in the shade and with the wind blowing so hard. It’s supposed to warm up to 55.
Got my blood work done. It looked good, but I just started chemo again yesterday, so next week when I do my blood work, it will tell more of the tale. It makes my counts all drop.
I’m nearly done with proofing Cougar Christmas Catastrophe!

Female jaguar following the male. I wasn’t sure if he was checking to see if she was still with him, or annoyed that she was following him. lol I took the photo of them at the Waco zoo. I love it because they often are just lying around and not very active.
I’m off to proof more of Cougar Christmas Catastrophe. I’m on chapter 5. Hope to get more of it done today. Yesterday I had my grandson here, so I really didn’t get started on it until later. I was also coming up with grizzly bear titles for the new book and story ideas.

I’m nearly done with Christmas Cougar Catastrophe. I had to take a break yesterday to celebrate a late Christmas. We had fun.
I have my 4-year-old grandson still, so that will crimp my writing some, but he might do more exercising to kids’ videos today, and I can work on it a bit more. I did some edits after he went to bed last night.
I was thinking of a bear shifter story next. I have a cover for it. I need to pull it up and look at it to give me some more ideas, season, location, what he looks like. I already am formulating a story in my mind.

We’re having our Christmas today. It’s already 68 degrees this morning, but supposed to be 32 on Tuesday. Our weather is too weird. I have to get a blood draw then. Ugh.
I went over to the kids’ place for Christmas Eve last night, and we opened all the gifts in our stockings. I brought my granddaughter home for an overnighter, and she used one of the “science” fizzy soap bottles for her bath. Both grandkids were eager to take their baths last night, just to use their fun soaps. They were a hit.
She’s going to help me make our 7-layer cookie bars: graham cracker crust, butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, shredded coconut, pecans, and sweetened condensed milk. Butter is added to the crust, which makes 7 layers. It’s our yearly tradition, just like creating a gingerbread house is. My grandson wanted to stay overnight too, but I’ll take him another night. Maybe tonight. I start chemo on Monday, so might not be feeling that well.
I sort of finished Christmas Cougar Catastrophe. I think I need one more sentence to tie it up. And I need to reread the last chapter and the epilogue and then read the whole thing through again.

We’re having Christmas late so we’re ordering in since all the restaurants are open and we can choose whatever we want. With my low immunity, I’m not supposed to be around crowds, so no eating at restaurants. I feel like I have to live in a bubble for the next year at least.
I finally wrote the scene twice that I felt needed to be changed and thought of a cool twist, but need to research it to make sure it works. I’m excited to get after it. Like Wolfish, Cougar Christmas Catastrophe turned into a short novel, not a novella.
I wasn’t going to go to the grocery store this week, but I have a health insurance coupon I need to use up before the end of the year, so I thought I would grab a few essential items I’m running out of and hope it works for the coupon.
