Wild Momma and Baby Seal

In La Jolla, San Diego. Now, is she saying, come back in for a swim? He’s wet, so he might have just been out with her. Or is she telling him she’ll be right there! In any event, he looks eager to see her.

Maybe–because she’s bringing him lunch.

Sea Lions Sunning and Splashing

One sea lion was happily sunning on a chilly Houston day, and the other had a splendid time splashing on him as he swam around the pool.

I didn’t get my word count yesterday. *sigh* So have to work doubly hard today.

It was a cool day at the zoo, so this sea lion was sunning while another was splashing him every time he swam by, but this sea lion wasn’t fazed.

Sea Lion and Pup

He had his head above water, just floating. She did a swim by to check on him. 🙂 As you can see, we were right below them with a fun view!

We actually have a cooler morning this morning which is truly welcome. It’s 73. Yesterday at this time, it felt like 87. We had 99 yesterday.

I made it to 39K yesterday on Wolf Bound. Hope to get to 41K today. I write 2,000 words daily, more if the scenes are coming to me. I’m always excited when I’m over halfway done because then I can start wrapping up the story. It’s always longer than I anticipate, but at least I’m shooting for a particular goal.

Even though I coughed all night last night–again–I finally managed to sleep for 2.5 hours without coughing and my brain doesn’t feel like it’s total mush like yesterday. Of course the dogs were like, we want to go out! Or I might have had a little more sleep. So maybe I can really write more!

Wild Sea Lion of La Jolla

I added the clouds from another photo I had taken and added some of Daily Texture Cape Textures. I loved how the sea lion was so expressive.

Okay, I’m moving slow this morning. It’s soooooooo cold. We went from 82 degrees to 29 and a body can’t get used to that in such a short amount of time. The storm roared in at 4 a.m. this morning. Even my dogs do not want to go out in this cold for long. lol

I’m off to work on Emerald Isle of Mists. Back to the regular schedule tomorrow. Hope your day is great!!

Being Random

I shot the half moon this morning before baby got here and the sea lion in the surf two years in San Diego area.

Newsletter off for the free book, word count caught up, but now I have copy edits on Billionaire Wolf Christmas to do. I’m getting close to the end of the other book, and I hate to have to stop and work on another. Puts me in a totally different set of mind, though I love the other story and enjoy reading it when it’s a finished book!

Finally managed to get baby to sleep, though I can’t put her down, so she’s sleeping on my lap and I have my hands free…for a few minutes.

Have a lovely day and think of taking a swim in the surf somewhere nice and warm. 🙂 <3

Baby Mermaid and the Head in My Photo

The Indian ocean on a stormy day

So someone said my mermaid baby wasn’t right as far as the beach went. I redid it so that more of the scene is visible. The rocks and waves and baby are my photos.  I took the picture of the sea lion on the rocks (same area as the rocks I took a picture of in La Jolla, when this guy stuck his head right in my picture. I had to keep it because it was funny. First, he wasn’t there, and then he was. 🙂  This is the coolest place, by the way. You can get really close to the wild sea lions. But they can be dangerous too.

The real baby mermaid is asleep on my lap and we have dense fog today. I’m working on St. Patrick’s Day bears, have two done and will show them off as soon as I can take a picture. I’m working on a third one.

And I reached the halfway point yesterday!!! Oh, and when I was pulling weeds, guess what I found! An honest to goodness four-leaf clover! So naturally, I had to take pictures. I’m uploading them now.

In the meantime, have a super, fun day!!
