Happy Mother’s Day!

My computer keeps freezing up, so making this a short message.

I was reading “Are You My Mother?” to my granddaughter the other day, and Mother’s Day reminds me of that.

My mom was great. The Mother’s Day Annual tea party that my daughter and Mother and I shared each year as we decorated hats and dressed up and had tea at the arboretum. My trips to Salado with my mom where we took long walks along the historical streets and visited the shops, always bringing home a gift for the garden or two. I set A Ghost of a Chance at Love in Salado because while I was walking those streets with my mom, I thought about what it would be like to be stuck in the historical past. We always had a sandwich at a tea shop, tried on clothes and saw antiques and artwork, and had ice cream in another shop.

We all went to Galveston Island and ended up in a tropical storm, but we had fun too swimming and visiting the glass pyramids and saw the tropics, the butterflies, the fish. We visited South Padre Island and had a lovely time. My daughter, Mother and I went to a new restaurant and they did a feature on us!

I’m off to feed the dogs. The kids might be grown and on their own, but now I have fur babies I have to take care of.

Have a beautiful Mother’s Day.

And stay safe!
