When Wizards are not Happy!

The Wizard is not happy that the Green Fairy messed with his potions making them all sparkly. She hadn’t planned for them to be THAT sparkly! 🙂 <3 The purple fairy is inspecting the bottles with her candlelight, glad SHE wasn’t the one who is in trouble now. 🙂 <3

Okay, so I finished proofing Big Cat Magic and need to get it ready to publish today. I’m going to take my granddaughter to swim one last time on my own. Everyone’s going next weekend. And then the pool is closed for the summer, even though it will still be hot through all of September!

And then I’ve got to get back to Roxie’s story. We had another 1/2 inch of rain! We sure needed it.

Medieval Boy Artwork

We had about an inch of rain yesterday, yay!!

Created the little Medieval boy from Midjourney, replaced some features, added some textures.

I’m still dealing with I think a yellow jacket sting–whole elbow and arm has a huge red, swollen patch around where it stung me while I was weeding two days ago. It’s itching now, still hot to the touch. I never saw it either, just felt the white hot poker go into my arm. I was weeding next to a boxwood and I figure he was hanging in it until it was a little later. They’ll rest in the shrubs until it’s lighter out, then I got too close to him and he stung me. I wanted to do the weeding early before it gets way too hot. *sigh*

Anyway, I have the day off. I’m halfway through proofing Big Cat Magic so I’m hoping I can spend the day proofing the remainder and then get back to work on Roxie on Sunday. Can’t wait to release it.

We made it home before the thunderstorms hit yesterday, but we have the same situation today with storms coming in, not sure if they will hit when we try to pick up the kids are not.

I created this in Midjourney with adjustments. Isn’t he adorable? Because he has purple flowers around him, my granddaughter will say he’s a she.

I’m nearly to 20k on Roxie’s story. Yay! That’s will be 2/8ths of the way done. Maybe I can get a little more done this weekend. I did pull weeds, but with the little bit of rain we got, I should be able to pull more as the ground won’t be so hard.

Well, I’m finally getting a little caught up on word count. I was 11,000 words behind, now only 7,000, so making great strides. We’re supposed to have thunderstorms tomorrow when I’m picking up little one, so hoping it will hold off until after I pick her up. But I really hope we have rain!

I’m slowly working on Roxie’s story. I’m up to 13k, so 67K to go! So it’s a start!

We’re supposed to be getting some rain hopefully on Thursday night. I sure hope they’re not making a mistake because it’s supposed to cool down to low 90s. Yay!

Ragdoll Cat

Well, I’m 10,000 words behind on Roxie’s story because of working on Big Cat Magic, but I managed to get it down to that today. lol It was more. This is a MidJourney version of a ragdoll cat.

I’m off to take my granddaughter to the pool and then lunch with them, and then back to the book! I need to write 3,000 a day now to make up for being behind, but that will take 10 days, unless I can write more than 3k. But it always depends if I can keep thinking of new scenes for the story or not.

I turned over Big Cat Magic to my last beta reader and asked my cover artist if she could change this from a novella to Heart of the Cougar, Book 11 and she said she would. Yay!

So now I’m back to Roxie’s story!

Her Wolf for the Holidays

Okay, so no, that is not the Highland wolf, but that is the title of the Christmas Highland wolf story coming out next year, October, I think.

Anywho, the Highland cow represents the ones in the story. Isn’t he ADORABLE?

I just love them.

All right, it’s TGIF, and I’m off to hopefully finish up proofing of Big Cat Magic and turn it over to my final beta reader.

Last day to pick up little one from big kid’s school this week. She asked me when she was going to stay at my house for the day–even though she was here all day Monday and Tuesday. She has been staying here for two days of the week for 5 years, so it’s hard for her to understand we have a whole new schedule now. But I told her I’d take her swimming on Sunday, and when it was good for everyone, she could stay overnight with me. We do that at least once a month.

Now I’ve got to get to work.
