July | 2023 | Terry Spear's Shifters

I’ve been working on White Wolf, behind on word count. I finally had a great brainstorming with a friend this morning. When I start explaining to her what the story is about and what I’m thinking of, then suddenly, voila, it’s there. I’m near the end of the book and I just couldn’t think of it. So I love when that happens. I’m nearly to 4,000 words today, so catching up on all the word count. That brings it to 76K and only 4K left. I’m hoping to get minimum word count of 80K by 4th of July.

I’ll still have more to write, but the majority will be done. woohoo! Hopefully.

So my friend tells me we’re supposed to have 50 more days of heat like this. Ugh.

I really need to get more done on White Wolf. Yesterday, I found scenes out of place, so was moving things around, then rereading to make sure that I had them in the right spot, then moving more around. When I get closer to the end of the book, I do more editing because I’ve changed my mind about things, or added things that don’t jive with what I originally said, so not getting as much word count as I hoped, but this has to be done too. 🙂
