So it’s a wild hectic day today. I hadn’t planned for it to be, but it is.
I’m off to go watch my granddaughter in her fun run and then I’m taking her from school so we can go have some fun and run errands. Whenever they’ve done these in the past, when I go to pick her up from school, hardly any kids are left there. So I realized I can just take her home and we can do things because they’re not doing anything at school.
Have a great day! Got to go!

It’s been so nice that I’m back to walking to the school and back.
It’s going to be hotter today through Friday, but I still plan to walk. Unless the heat index kicks it up into the 90s. It’s supposed to be 92 on Friday without considering the heat index which often is another 10 degrees.
Okay, little one is coming today. I have 7 more chapters to proof on Bear of a Halloween. Hope to finish it today, make the print cover, get the book copyrighted and tomorrow publish it. It all just depends on the toddler taking a nap. Monday he didn’t at all.
I’m off to take care of the dogs. They are wanting to go out NOW. And eat of course.
Have a fun day!!!

Okay, off to work on proofing Bear of a Halloween! My beta readers both sent their edits, and now, woohoo, it’s nearly done! Thanks, ladies!
Farmer’s Insurance agent is coming today to look at my roof. You know, you never know when an insurance agency is good until you need them! So we’ll see. Texas Farm Bureau and Oklahoma Farm Bureau were wonderful when I had acreage, but I couldn’t have them for a home in the suburbs or I would have stayed with them forever.
Have a delightful day!

I took the photo of the stork standing on a rock. The rock was the perfect size. lol
I’m inching my way to the end of minimum word count on Wolf on the Prowl. 18K to go. Today is toddler day, and we HAVE to go to the grocery store. It’s always a fun trip. My granddaughter was disappointed I wasn’t taking her too. She has to go to school. We are going to start walking home from school. It’s finally cool enough for part of this week. It’s going to be 45 this morning! It’s supposed to get to 71 today, but 86 and 88 on Thursday and Friday, so add 10 degrees heat index and that’s going to be hot again.
Okay, got to get things done before little one is here!
Have a super, duper day!

I had to take a picture of him at the Fall Festival because he was spotted up like a jaguar for a dog costume contest. His owner said I was the only one who knew he was a jaguar. Of course. His rosettes have dots in the center. I know my jaguars when I see one. lol
We watched the solar eclipse too. So cool to see the ring of fire. What was interesting was that it felt apocalyptic, the way the sunlight hitting the pavement looked gray instead of sunny light. The whole scattered light around us had a strange grayness to it, which made it feel surreal.
I goofed off way too much this weekend so I’m going to try and get some writing done! I’m only up to 60K on Wolf on the Prowl.
Have a super fun day!!!

I’m back to writing on Wolf on the Prowl. I am nearly 3/4ths of the way done on word count. Have to take Max to the vet for his annual shots in just a few minutes. And then it’s back to the story!
A ring of fire solar eclipse will be seen on Saturday so we’re going to try and see it.
Have a wonderful Friday the 13th! Off to the vet!

I finished Bear of a Halloween and sent it to my beta readers. I need to get back to Wolf on the Prowl (at 57K), but I need to reread it to see where I’m at on it. I need 23K for minimum word count. I worked a little on revising Night of the Vampire, a YA vampire book yesterday because it was too late to really start fresh on Wolf on the Prowl. Night of the Vampire is at 23K. I need about 30K on it to finish it up.
We had rain all day yesterday–just a light shower. Not sure how much we actually got.
I don’t have to pick up little one today from school, so I need to get to work and have all day to do it. 🙂
Hope your day is truly fine!

It helps when you’re writing a story to draw on real kinds of situations to create fiction. So in this case, I wanted to write about Highland werewolves that aren’t good neighbors. And then there’s also the issue of a will. And that can lead to contention! So mixing real life situations with fantasy can be all the more fun!
Hope you enjoy the new Highland wolf book!
Her Wolf for the Holidays
Oct 10, 2023
Thrilling adventure and sexy holiday fun in the Scottish Highlands.
When a new she-wolf moves in next door, only one alpha wolf can give her everything she wants for Christmas and more.
Edeen Campbell has heard many wild stories about the MacQuarrie clan living in the castle closest to her new home. She is determined―not even Lachlan MacQuarrie, the pack leader’s brother, can ruin her holiday plans, no matter how hard he may try or how intrigued she is by him. But as Lachlan proves to her over and over that he is a wolf to be trusted, Edeen begins to change her mind about the pack and the very handsome wolf dedicated to making her first Highland Christmas a special one.
