Bear of a Halloween

Still working on this book!! I’m hoping to have it done by the end of the week, though I have both kids today, roofer coming tomorrow about the leaky roof, Her Wolf for the Holidays releasing tomorrow, and off with my daughter and granddaughter to see the solar eclipse on Friday.

Once this is off to my beta readers, I’ve got to get back to working on Wolf on the Prowl.

Hope you all have a great day! We’re seeing Paw Patrol at the theater, first time for my grandson to go to the movies. When we took my granddaughter for the first time, she wanted to see another show right after that. lol

It’s so Cool Out, Yay!

56 degrees out!

Grandkids slept through the night. Toddler is still alseep, can’t believe it, and we’re going for a donut run then a walk around the pond. Then they’re going home and I’m going to work on Bear of a Halloween. I turned in A Good Wolf is Hard to Find.

Okay, the kids are both up, time for them to get dressed and get on with our morning.

I Will Come Out ONLY When…

You put that lion costume away. I am a CAT and proud of it. 🙂

Okay, it’s Friday and I’ve got my granddaughter all day, so we’re going to take a river walk, go to the library, have lunch out, get some ice cream, do some school stuff, and just plain have fun. 🙂

And somehow, I need to get some writing in. Off to work before she gets here in an hour. We ended up having 4.5″ of rain and one of my walls is wet, so the roofers are coming on Tuesday to see what’s going on. In three days, we had 10″ of rain and of course everything is still wet. We desperately needed it. I just didn’t need it in the house!

Getting a Little Wet Inside

No rain for months and then we get it all in three days! We had 3 1/4″ on Tuesday, 2 1/4″ yesterday, and 3.5″ today and it’s still pouring. And now I have a leaking roof. ugh.

I’ve only found one place where I have water coming down from the ceiling, but it’s a fast drip. And rain isn’t ending until after 3 pm.

Okay, I’m off to write. The dogs don’t want to go outside. I don’t blame them. Managed a 1,000 words on Wolf, 5 more chapters of edits on Bear and it has 1,000 more words, and made a promo book trailer video for Her Wolf for the Holidays, which is coming out on Tuesday.

A Little Halloween Whimsy

I have been trying to get further on both Bear of a Halloween and Wolf on the Prowl. Managed editing another 4 chapters on Bear–up to 8 now, and wrote 3,000 words on Wolf. But now I have to edit A Good Wolf is Hard to Find…so I’ve got to get that done by Monday. With having the kids so much, it will be tough to keep up with any of this.

Okay, I’m off to feed the birds, the dogs, get ready for the toddler. My goal is to write a 1,000 words today to help for the next few days when I’ll be doing so much with the grandkids.

We got 3″ of rain yesterday! Woohoo! They say scattered showers so I never really believe when it says that that we’ll actually get it, but we did! Lots of downpours. It was great. We have more today and tomorrow, if it comes to pass. And we only have 85 degrees today, yay! Only 77 on Thursday, even better!

On a Fall Day

A boy and his frog and his dog going for a run on this fall day. What could be more fun! Today, it’s only going to be 87, yay!!! And maybe rain.

I feel like I’ve got a cold. Everyone but me had it. I’ve got lots of babysitting duty tomorrow, Friday, Saturday, and Monday so I hope this goes away soon! Somehow I’ve got to keep after my word count.

I managed 2,000 words yesterday on my off day. Yay! And I started editing Bear of a Halloween again too to see what I need to do to finish it up.

Bell Peppers!!!

I’ve been babying this plant and another bell pepper plant with no success and finally, finally the one has bell peppers. Woohoo! I just put the seeds from my store purchased bell peppers in the ground, but it’s been so hot that they wouldn’t blossom.

Okay, off to write.

It was a tiny bit cooler this morning, but it’s going to be 96 today, add 10 degrees and that’s what it feels like. Have a sunshiny day, while I hope for clouds!
