I woke at 5 a.m., the real 5 a.m. and got up and by the time I did a little cleaning, I sat down to begin my writing day and my computer says it’s 7 a.m. Wait, what? How did I lose 2 hours in an hour? Yep, we sprung forward.
My bedroom clock is supposed to adjust on its own. It doesn’t. My computer, phone, and watch do, thankfully. But my oven clock and car don’t either. And neither does my brain.
It’s a good thing we have Sunday off to recuperate before Monday. Wait, I don’t have Sunday off…

I made word count for Huntress Unleashed. So now I’m over word count! Yay! I’m still working on it to finish it. We dropped 40 degrees overnight. Brr is it cold this morning.

In the real world and in fiction, all kinds of different choices are available. But which path is the one to take? When I’m writing about characters in a book, they have to make all kinds of choices. Some can lead to resolution, others lead to way more conflict.
Sometimes what seems like the right path turns out to be the wrong one. As the characters discuss it among themselves, they choose a direction to turn and then…they never know what to expect.
Speaking of which, my hunters are entering a vampire club, so I’ve got to see where this takes them.

You see, the fairy could be a fairy and the wolf is also of the fairy world. Or the girl can be a wolf shifter dressed up in her human form, playing that she is a fairy and the wolf is her friend and didn’t want to shift out of her wolf, so she’s also “dressed” up as a fairy. Another scenario is that the girl isn’t a shifter but her friend, the wolf, is. Or that the girl is a girl and the wolf is a wolf and she’s raised her from a pup and the wolf allows her to dress her up.
See? Fantasy, Kind of Fantasy, More Realistic World…any of the notions could work, and others besides. If this was one of my fae books, the two are fae, the one a wolf shifter fae. If the story was one of my wolf shifter books, both are wolf shifters and one wanted to wear her wolf coat while playing at being fairies.

I have little one all day–we’re doing finger painting today. I did that with my granddaughter yesterday. And I need some more dirt, so we’ll probably go to the grocery store today. We had a 1% chance of rain yesterday and I heard this noise that sounded suspiciously like it was pouring out and it was! I look back at the weather prediction and it says–1% chance of rain. lol
Okay, I’m off before he gets here.

I usually try to prepost book releases, but my granddaughter stayed overnight, so after every announcement I make, she looks up to see if I’m done and can pay attention to her. lol Poor thing. Her school had the day off, so I am taking care of her. We didn’t even realize she was off until my SIL was checking the school lunch menu. We’re going to have lunch in a bit and then go out for our favorite ice cream treats to celebrate the book birthday. Mine is a hot fudge sundae with coffee/chocolate chip ice cream, usually chocolate mint chip. Hers is bubblegum ice cream, but she often switches things up.
We’re also dropping off my tax stuff. Glad to get that done! Another reason to celebrate!
We’ve been vacuuming and steam cleaning the floors. It’s never too early to get kids involved in helping to clean and she loves it. We’re going to do some more gardening in a bit.

I’m off to work on Huntress Unleashed. 12,000 more words to write! Getting to the end! Yet, not really. Even though I edit all along, I will need to really edit once the book is fully written from beginning to end. That’s the fun stuff. 🙂 Because the book is written. Then I just have to make it better.
