In a Whimsical World…

You can make it anything you want it to be.

Well, I got really sick a couple of Sundays ago. I was supposed to do more chemo that week, get the new triple picc line in, and be admitted to the hospital Sunday, yesterday.

Instead, I was running 103-degree fever, throwing up, and calling my daughter to come get me and take me to the hospital. I’ve been there ever since. Today is the first day I’ve felt halfway well.

They learned I had an extremely dangerous bacteria in my blood that is becoming antibiotic resistant, but after several days, they cleared it up. Yay! Then I have pneumonia. I’m getting blood this morning, and then they’re doing a bronchoscopy to see what’s going on with my lungs. Then they will hopefully send me home so my lungs can heal, and we’ll be back on track for the week of intense chemo and the stem cell transplant.

Fingers crossed.

Last week was supposed to be an easy week. ugh

Hope your day is going great!!!

Terry

  1. Hi Terry
I wondered how you were doing. You have been on my mind a lot; so have been praying for you a lot.
I am glad you are getting better and hopefully you will be ready for more chemo and that your Stem Cell procedure goes well.
The picture you did shows me that you look like you are contemplating or maybe you are weary.
Remember God is in control and He holds you in the hollow of His hands. And He loves you Terry.
Well I got my brick work done, and I was exhausted after two days putting it all together. My daughter and
son-law, granddaughter and Grandson loved it.
You take care of yourself and get plenty of rest.
Have a great day today Terry.
    Love Sheila

    • I’m so glad you got your brickwork done. I love projects like that. Thanks! I’m trying!!! I want to go home for a few days and be normal. 🙂
