I’m about to run in for a dressing change and then back home to work on Wolfish. I’m halfway through proofing it–again. I keep thinking of things I want to add to it. Hope to have it done today. Tomorrow at the latest.
I’m still adding some things to Wolfish, but I think I’m ready to proof it.
It’s still hot, warm in the mornings, not cool. After my fall, my hip is feeling so much better. It’s been 3 weeks, but pulling tendons, or muscles, or whatever takes a while to heal.
I think I can walk around the neighborhood with the kids for trick or treating on Halloween now. Yay!
Still working on Wolfish. Took one of my Havanese in for his annual checkup. He has had a heart murmur since he was a puppy and they said it had gotten worse. So I agreed to an X-ray–$375. Then they said his heart is a little enlarged on one side, and he needs an ultrasound. $775, but they had to confirm that. I didn’t hear back from them. It’s probably a lot more. And I have to go somewhere else to get it.
He’s 11 and acts like a puppy a lot of times, running all over and playing with toys. I didn’t know he had a hurt murmur until I brought him home from the breeder, and I’d fallen in love with him by then. I should have had a vet check him out from the onset. His brother is a half brother and he never had that issue.
Well, I’m off to work on the Halloween story some more!!
I’m still editing Wolfish. Should be done in a couple of days!
Just got back from getting my dressing changed for the Picc line. They might be taking it out soon. It’s nice for drawing blood and getting infusions, but they can end up with a bacterial infection and I don’t want to be hospitalized for that again. They’re talking about putting me on chemo again in a couple of weeks, and my platelets will go down, so I may need replacement platelets because of that.
I’m off to work on Wolfish and I’m making corned beef dinner for the family tonight. If I ever ask if the family wants it, my granddaughter is the first to shout, “Yes!” lol
Tashama’s mission is to bring peace to the kingdom—easier said than done! Swept away and sent to a strange land called Texas when her parents were murdered, she must return to her own homeland and right the wrong. Not only does she end up in the enemy’s territory when she returns to her home world, but she also becomes a prisoner of Prince Aleron, the man of her dreams. Aleron is intrigued by Princess Tashama, but learns she is supposed to be the ruler of her kingdom, an enemy they have been fighting for decades. She’s a danger to him, but he has no clue what to do with her. He doesn’t want to give her up for anything. And she has no intention of being his prisoner, but freeing her people from a tyrant and settling scores, all so she can bring peace to the region. If you liked the Magic of Inherian series, where the women rule and the heroes drool, enjoy another fantasy set in their medieval world. This is a fantasy work that was in progress for ten years. It was done years ago, but I’ve been editing it when I had the time between books for years. I was glad to finally finish it when I looked at it the last time and realized it was nearly done.
Still playing Drage Age: The Veilguard, but have some big bosses I’m having trouble defeating. Where is my son when I need him?
My daughter and I are off to appointments in Houston this morning. I feel nauseous. My doctor said I shouldn’t any longer, but some of the pills I’m taking say they can make you feel that way.
If you haven’t read any more of the series, Wolf Pack and Wolf Alliance start out the series.
I’m finishing up Wolfish, the Halloween novella, need to reread it before I send it off to my beta readers and then I’m off to write a cougar Christmas novella.
Enjoy your fall day! Still hot here! And no rain for weeks and none in sight.
It’s that time of year, and I need to get candy for the kids. I thought of skipping it since I didn’t decorate, but I do it every year. After falling and hurting my hip, I thought of not walking with the grandkids because I don’t know if I can make it. But I want the exercise…dilemmas, dilemmas. I can walk a mile and a half, but not sure how much we walk during our trick-or-treating.
I need to go to the grocery store, so going super early to avoid the crowds. I always wear a mask.
I love creating these little scenes with cliparts and other sources.
I walked a mile and a quarter this morning. My hip still hurts from falling last week. I gave it a break for a couple of days and then decided I needed to walk today. Tomorrow I have an antibiotic infusion so might not be able to walk in the morning. It gets so hot here so fast. Did someone say it was fall????
Worked on getting Wolf Heir ready for publication and I’m off to work on Wolfish. Hope to get it out by Halloween, but we will see. I’m editing it now.
Tashama is available on various sites now, just waiting on Apple and the print version to post it.
I’m still proofing Wolf Heir. Three chapters and an epilogue to finish up and then I’ll begin getting it ready for publication. After that, I’m back to Wolfish, the Halloween novella. It might be a few days past Halloween before it’s published. *sigh*
