Some More Christmas Whimsy

This is a shifter who doesn’t want to shift. Kind of like my grandkids who come over in their PJs because they don’t want to dress. lol Which is fine with me. By the time we go out to do stuff, they’re ready.

Created this fun video yesterday. Little one will be coming over and then his big sister will have cookie sale training at Girl Scouts tonight, so daddy and little one and their dogs will all be here while escaping their house. lol

Still working on Stolen Highland Dreams and nearing the finish line. Set up the preorder, but it’s not showing yet. Working on the cover.

My brainstorming partner, Lor, came up with the title for the next white bear book: Protecting the White Bear, and I started to plot the idea for it. Then I’m awake at 3 am, thinking about the Highlanders and the polar bears. lol

I’m off to get ready, need to feed the dogs, the birds, and then MAYBE get some more work in before he arrives.

I’ve Been Hopping Between Stories

These are not the covers. I just used them for reference. I have them, but the one doesn’t have my title or name on it yet.

I keep visualizing scenes for both books, so I try to get my 2,000 on Wolf Bound daily, since it’s nearly done (11,000 words to go), and whatever I can on the other. Yesterday was a little one day, so my off day. I managed 1,000 on Wolf Bound and 300 words on Highland Wolf. But I’ve been getting 2K on the contemporary and 3K on the Highland one for several days. Yay! I started at 8K for the Highland one a few days ago. It’s now 22K! Once I finish Wolf Bound, I’ll jump on the Highland one exclusively like I did with the other initially.

I need to pick up my granddaughter at noon, so I’m off to work on the stories since this is NOT my off day, before I have to get her.

I finally got an appointment to take my car in for a recall item that I’ve needed to do for a couple of years, one that’s critical, but the Ford dealership wouldn’t do it. I would have to drive 6 hours round trip to Waco where I purchased the vehicle. But I finally got it scheduled here, so I’m hoping I can get it done without any problems.

We are getting into the 90s all week. This is too early!

Scotland–love it!

Some of my mother’s ancestors were from Scotland and the family that inspired me were the MacNeills–Malcolm who ran off with the duke’s daughter, Elizabeth Campbell. Now, trying to find the true information about this is nigh to impossible because the records just don’t exist. But the family’s tale has spread across families none of us have ever met, some of whom still live in Prince Edward Island where Malcolm and Elizabeth ended up.

But their love story inspired me to write the Highland series.

If he survives his injuries and her kin, he must deal with his traitorous brother before it is too late.

Overview

Gunnolf was left for dead when he was young as he went on one of his kin’s raids, but finds his way to the Highlands and a home with the MacNeill Clan.
