Maybe not Snow, but Tornadoes?

My blood counts were super low, platelets way down, so they changed my antibiotic out for another. Hopefully, that will fix the trend of my counts going down. I’ve been fatigued and I guess that’s why.

But we had violent storms last night, thankfully no damage. A tornado hit about 19 miles from us, nearer to Houston. I came home in a heavy storm yesterday after my appointments in Houston, but thankfully, it stopped before I got home. But then that night, it got really wild again.

Up north, they were talking about snow.

Okay, I’m off to work on getting Wolfish up for publication.

Thanks for all the well wishes!!

Have a fun day!

Terry

  1. Hi Terry
I am sorry to hear you are still having trouble with your health.
    I am praying for you.
Why do you have to have more chemo?
After you transplant of step cells, I thought you out have Immunity.
I figured you would cancer free.
Sounds like you are not in remission at all.
I really feel for you. 🥲
So far no snow more here yet. But it is coming. We have 7 months of winter and to look forward to spring.
I myself have only once in my life no snow on my birthday in March.
Well I have started to take my iron in the early morning.
I am tired of taking two hours before and two hours after. No dairy with iron as it cancels out the iron.
I need to bring my blood up as I am anemic.
So it will stop my hair from falling out and maybe getting new growth.
And it is stress that is causing my hair to thin and fall out. And it’s that battle with the fence.
I have two things that keep me getting depleted. Iron and Glycogen. I have to eat potatoes every day. I do love my one coffee a day and I also love potatoes.
I hope you get better soon, and I pray this. new antibiotic works.
God is with you Terry, He will never leave you or nor forsake you.
Salvation is a gift and God does not take away His gifts.
    Love Sheila

    • Thanks, Sheila! Yeah, I’m in remission but they want to keep it that way because it’s a really aggressive cancer and the stem cells from the donor won’t have filled the bone marrow until a year or more. So they just don’t want my own cells to come back and take over again, as far as I believe.

I love potatoes too!! I hope you can improve your blood also. My hair is starting to come in, but it’s only about a 4th of an inch long. It’s been 4 months since the transplant. It will probably take forever to grow out. 🙁

  2. Hi Terry
I thought my post did not go through.
We had a massive update in our phones and iPads.
Also thank you for your reply.
Thank you explaining what you are going through.
I now understand now, which is good. 😊
I am also glad your hair is coming in.
My neighbour had cancer a couple of years ago and her hair came back too.
Well my stomach was okay with taking my iron in early morning. Which is relief. I take a special iron capsule for sensitivity and had upped the dosage.
It is supposed to help the hair follicles.
I am always low in iron, potassium and glycogen.
So hang in there Terry. Have a great day today.
    Loved hearing from you.
    Love also your picture today.
We have sunny but cold weather today.
    Love Sheila

    • Great on the iron! Hope you are enjoying your sunny day! It’s sunny here too, but warm!!! That’s good news to hear that your neighbor’s hair came back in. I met a lady who has the same cancer as I do and had stem cell transplant in January. Her hair had come in. But she’s way ahead of me, 8 months before my stem cell. So when I met her, I had like 3 months, so she’s almost at a year. I’m at 4 months now. Seems like forever. lol Good luck on your hair.
