August 2026 – Page 2 – Terry Spear's Shifters

So I had my LONG, LONG, LONG day at the hospital yesterday. At least I don’t have to do that again for 4 weeks. But they told me I’ll probably have to be on chemo for another year to allow the bone marrow to build up.

Sigh

I’m working on The Chosen Fae, did edits and filling in scenes. It’s up to 35,000 words. Yay!

Okay, got to get to work. Had my Hep A final shot, so I think between that and being at the hospital where they collected 14 vials of blood, I’m tired.

I’m going to proof more of Deadly Misfortunes today. It was exciting to finish it! I’m up to 24K on Jaguar and 26K The Chosen Fae.

So I got my shingles shot yesterday, but then I wondered if I should have. I’ve had to get ALL my immunizations all over again, but if the stem cell transplant donor never had chicken pox, maybe I shouldn’t have gotten the vax.

I can’t contact her directly, so I sent an email to a nurse to see if she could learn the truth! I had to get a prescription from my doctor to get the shingles shot. The pharmacy is like you already had it so you can’t have it again. I explained that all my vaccinations have been eliminated with the transplant.

So then I asked if I needed to get a prescription for the second dose. The pharmacist said that my doctor might not require me to get a 2nd dose. They don’t get that I don’t have any immunity from the first shots I had. lol

Okay, I’m off to work!!!
