Happy Earth Day!

We had 1.5 inches of rain, which is why the hostas are a little dirty. But this is a white-feathered variety.

The green ones are beginning to unfurl also.

Okay, off to work. My blood counts have all dropped, but stomach-wise, I’m feeling better.

Happy National Gardening Day!

So I had planted the hostas, just love them, and ordered more. I have lilies, daylilies, and hostas that came in yesterday, so I’ll try to plant them.

I had to cut the sunshine ligustrum way back. As you can see, they’ve blocked out the sun for the grass and I have all moss there now. I need to clean my pavers too, but first is planting so I don’t lose all the bulbs. (41 of them) Also trimmed back ligustrum on the other side of the house, and I have a few more of them to trim back.

The chemo is really making me feel awful, but it’s not stopping me from getting things done.

And I reached word count on the book, still working on it to finish it!

Getting High on Flowers…

Everywhere we went or looked there were more flowers. It was flower heaven! Every time I’d put my camera away, I was pulling it back out. Orange milkweed at Gooseberry Falls, hostas, Asian lilies, mossy rock and bluebells at the North Shore, Lake Superior, black-eyed susans and daisies, International Wolf Center.

The last time we came up here, it was fall, four years ago. So seeing the wildflowers and gardens for summer has been just beautiful.
