Another gorgeous sunset on the lake in New Hampshire–the cloud was so close I felt I could touch it!
We’re supposed to get rain most of the day from the storm in the Gulf, so no swimming today. So it’s all indoor activities for the grandkids and me. It might cool us down a bit and we do need the rain.
I made it to 81K on Wolf Bound. Getting closer to the end!!!
Have a terrific day!

It’s hard for me to take sunset pictures around home because we have so many trees and houses, but on a lake, perfect for reflection. It was so nice and cool, unlike being home where it feels like 103 again. And though there are bugs, they were no mosquitoes at the time, no fire ants, so totally perfect for outdoor cooking and eating. We paddled a canoe across the lake a few times. They had kayaks that my daughter took out, fished (caught and released), hiked 5-6 miles a day, including a Winnie the Pooh hike, played miniature golf with the little ones at the Pirate Cove, and of course I was having a ball taking pictures of all the flowers everywhere. And sunsets. I managed a sunrise on the last morning there yesterday. I was always awake by 4:30–no blackout curtains on the windows, but I just didn’t want to disturb anyone else by going out and trying to take photos. But I HAD to the last day. I didn’t wake anyone.
We’re home and we had so much fun there, but it’s nice to be home. My granddaughter stayed over and we filled up the water fountain, found a couple of birdhouses down, so had storms while we were away. We went to the grocery store this morning and then I was picking tomatoes from the garden and taking pictures of MY flowers. 🙂 And pulling weeds. I need to pick up the dogs in about 4 hours after they’re washed and trimmed.
We’re supposed to get storms all next week so I got the kids some $1.50 books to read and a couple of activity books. We probably won’t be going to the pool, but weather predictions change all the time.
I’m off to write. I managed to get 3,000 words on the 5 1/2 hours of plane ride and the book is up to 78K. Yay!
Have a terrific day. And if you’re a father, happy Father’s Day!!!
