Goat Above the World

When you’re always looked down on, it must be nice being on top of the world. Goat in Okinawa at a botanical gardens.

I’m off to proof. I’m nearly done with edits, have grandparents’ lunch day with my granddaughter today, but otherwise, hope to finish up Highland Wolf today. We had an inch of rain yesterday, yahoo!

Wait! Do You Have Something Better For Me to Eat?

They had goats like this eating down the prolific vegetation in Okinawa. Isn’t he cute?

I managed to work on the Highland books yesterday, only 11K left to write on Highland Forest Nymph, finally settled on a title. The working title for years has been The Nymph of the Woods, but it was an English Medieval and it was done. But I never published it. To fit in with my Highland Medieval series, rather than have a single title floating out there, I’ve rewritten it to be Scottish. And she is in the Caledonian Forest of Scotland, so my brainstorming partner said it should be Forest instead of Woods. Now I just have to train my brain to see the title anew. lol I’ve been writing on this for about 15 years–wrote it in a few months and been revising it to fit the new story line for years. And it’s nearly done! Best of all, I love the way it’s been rewritten. And I worked on beta readers’ edits on Highland Wolf and am nearly done with those. So I will try and finish those up today and begin proofing.

Little one will be here any moment now, so off I go to get ready for him.

Goat in Okinawa

So after being up for most of 32 hours on the trip home from Okinawa (I had gotten up at 6 a.m. but didn’t leave on the first flight until 6:30 p.m.), I’m still getting over jet lag! I wanted to sleep in this morning, finally, but the dogs wouldn’t have any part of it. lol I took Dramamine last night, and that helped.

I’ll be sharing some of pictures of the great time I had over there. Truly it was the experience of a lifetime. My son and daughter-in-law have learned a lot of Japanese, which really helped with everything.

From medieval castle ruins, whale watching, seeing the whale shark and false killer whales at the aquarium, feeding squirrel monkeys and eating the fabulous food from Thai and Okinawan to Japanese and Chinese, it was all great.

I realize I’ve been missing posting, but my sleep has been so erratic, and I had to take care of little one yesterday, and my son-in-law had to change out my car battery and we had lunch out on Tuesday, so it’s been hectic since I returned.
