The End! A Silver Wolf Christmas, Done! And A Giveaway!

There’s nothing more fun than finishing a book! Then after I finished reading it and sending it off to beta readers, it was time to cut out more bear orders. Received 4 more yesterday. Somehow, I don’t think I’m getting ahead of the game!

Steampunk and Rainbow Bears in Process

Steampunk and Rainbow Bears in Process

It’s amazing what a few hours will do–turn fur into fun creations. The two on the left are finished, though I still have to embroider all their paws. But the bears and outfits are made. And here they are! The other 4 are ready with their vests in their laps and their hats in progress. Have to make new style dresses for them.  On the rainbow bears, the one is ready to be embroidered. The next needs a nose and he’s ready to be embroidered. The last needs a head, eyes, ears and a nose, and then he needs to be embroidered.

Steampunk Bear with Tapestry Vest–Sold!

If I was only making bears, I’d have them all done by now. But my day job…and night, is writing. So I do the bears AFTER I get my writing done. Or…like yesterday while I was working on rereading A Silver Wolf Christmas for the last time, I was working on the two Steampunk bear hats at the same time. I usually don’t do that, but they’re not furry, so I could. Fur in the keyboard probably wouldn’t help my writing. 🙂

So next project to finish up? Call of the Cougar. If I can figure out the ending, I’ll have it made! 🙂

But in the meantime, I did cut out another 5 bears and they’re now in process. 🙂 I still have more to cut out for orders. Waiting on fabric for two of them.

Okay, off to write. Oh, AND, TOMORROW is release day for TALL, DARK and Paranormal!

One more giveaway before tomorrow–if you read my books, what is your favorite series that I’m writing? And why? If you don’t, what do you read the most of?

I read Regency. I love it! But I don’t write it. Which is why I read it. I also love Highland stories, but only because I never see them written in the time period I write in. I don’t read werewolf books. After I wrote my first cougar book, I read a short novella that was supposed to be a cougar shifter book, but guess what? No one shifted. How can you call a book a shifter book if no one shifts???

One of the things we do as an author is make a pack with the reader. If I say it’s a wolf shifter book, I’d better show you some shifting. Into wolves! If I say it’s a medieval Highland book, I’d better show you some Highlanders in medieval times. And if I say it’s a vampire book…well, you know the drill–sharp teeth, hot and sexy (yes, my vampires are hot and sexy, not cold and dead) ….

Hope you all have a lovely Monday. I opened my blinds to get my morning blue light–remember: blue light is good for you, for your psyche, and it’s pitch black out. Somehow I will have to survive another hour or so with no blue light, orange light, or any other kind of light! Oh, yeah, I can turn on the overhead light, but what’s the fun in that?

Oh, the winner shall receive his or her choice of any ebook you haven’t read–that I can give. I can’t give wolf or jaguar books. I don’t have ecopies of them, or Deadly Liaisons, The Vampire…In my Dreams or the first two Highland books. They’re with publishers. But anything else on my website is fair game. 🙂 <3

Have a super great Monday!!! Tuesday is the big day!

  1. Look at all those cute bears. Whatever you do don’t quit your day job 🙂 Congrats on finishing a Silver Wolf Christmas.
I read YA, PNR, Urban Fantasy, fantasy Romance, futuristic romance, and some historicals. Basically anything with world building. I like to escape and be immersed in a whole new world.

    • LOL, Bonnie! I won’t. I love writing and creating stories. And thanks! It’s always such a wonderful feeling to finish a book! Me too on reading! I read nearly everything! I love the escapism also! Thanks!

  2. The bears you make are just gorgeous! I love PNR of all kinds, but shifters and vampires are my favorites. I have six of your books in my TBR pile (3 wolf, 3 jaguar and 1 vampire). I preordered tomorrow’s release. Now, if I could just find more time to read….

    • Thanks, Christine! I love making them! I love all kinds of PNR too. But I rarely read it. I know what you mean about the TBR pile. I have a ton of books from conferences I’ve picked up, and I haven’t been able to read ANY. Strictly writing and making teddy bears and teaching an online workshop, before more trips.

  3. i would have to say wolf series, i love anything wolfy 🙂 i was hooked after the frist one but i have started the highlander series and would say love them Tanya Willix

    • I love the wolves too, Tanya! I was thinking about the difference between each of the story worlds, and I still love that the wolves mate for life. 🙂 Thanks for loving the Highlander series! I need to get back to those. And my next in the fae series is calling to me!

  4. I adore your bears, Terry. They are the absolute cutest and so creative. I just don’t know where you find the time between teaching, writing and creating bears. You must be extremely organized to get all that done…lol. I can’t decide which of your books I like the best. I love the vampires, wolves and shifters of all kinds. The Highlanders, well, what’s not to love? I can’t wait to read Tall, Dark and Paranormal.

    • Thanks so much, Anne! I have to keep at goals or I’m doomed. LOL 🙂 <3 I hope you love all those books! I'm like you, I read all kinds of different things. I wasn't sure if I would get crossover readers for all that I write, but I've been amazed to see that readers have even tried out the fae books, when they don't read YA, or Highlanders if they only read paranormal, or paranormal if they only read historical. It's just fun! Thanks again! 🙂 <3

    • Thanks so much, Lin! It’s so much fun for me to work and work on the story, and I really do get attached to the characters, which makes it nice that another will be coming with Eric’s story in 2016, But it’s always so exciting to finish one also because then I will get a cover after that and know that you all will be able to read it too! 🙂 <3

  5. I love your shifter & highland series!! Can’t decide which I like best though – it is very hard to decide between the wolves, jaguars, cougars & braw highlanders!!

  6. I love all sorts of books. UF, PNR, steampunk, contemporary romance, historical romance (to name but a few). What I prefer depends on my mood at the time.

    • That’s me too, Nicola! I have to be in the mood for certain genres. Just like when I want to watch a movie, scifi, historical, suspense thriller. It just depends. 🙂 <3

  7. I think this is one of the hardest questions I have had to answer since my son asked where babies came from. I started to instantly reply your Wolf shifter series, but I have really fallen in LOVE with the jaguar shifters. Don’t get me wrong, I have reread all 3 shifter series’ so many time. At least every other month I do a reread. The jaguars are exotic themselves, but then the characters you create for this world, they really touch me. I also love that they are here in Texas lol. The Cougars are up there too, I just can’t wait for the next one! I haven’t gotten a chance to get to your non shifter books, but I am sure they are equally well written.
