Doing More Fun Challenges with Oscraps

I finished You Had Me at Cougar! It’s turned over to my wonderful beta readers and I’m trying to come up with a story idea for the United Shifter Force Christmas novella first. I have a semi-idea for Red Wolf Christmas, the novel.

It always takes me a bit of thinking to figure out how to start it, what’s at stake, how they meet, etc. I also need to pull up the print version of Saving the White Cougar to make sure it’s ready for publication. One final proofing.

I have a long night tonight. My son-in-law is working really late and so I’m having dinner with them and helping with the baby while my daughter gets my granddaughter off to bed. The baby gets really super fussy about that time. That’s okay. Grandma walks him and exercises then. lol

Birdhouses in an Art Challenge

Created Birdhouses for another Challenge–the one in the center is my own photo of a birdhouse I own.

I’m up to chapter 16 on You Had Me at Cougar. I had to make a lot of changes throughout because the story changes as I develop it. Five more chapters to go!

We’re going swimming this morning, daughter and baby and me. I usually swim for an hour before my daughter gets there and then she comes and I watch the baby while I write and she swims. Perfect for both of us. As long as we don’t have any storms. They’re supposed to be coming. But they’re always supposed to be coming.

I think I finished it! You Had Me at Cougar is almost done. I’ve written it and edited it, but now I need to re-read it all the way through and see if I’ve forgotten anything or need to correct stuff.

Silver Flowers

Plants that are gray-green in color are supposed to be more drought resistant, so I’ve read. This is a perennial: Eryngium bourgatii herbaceous.

I didn’t go swimming like I planned to because it was supposed to storm. And it didn’t. I shouldn’t listen to the weather reports. lol

I’ve been busy editing You Had Me at Cougar. I think I finished it to the end, except still need to finish two scenes. I remembered another scene I had to add this morning. One of those loose ends. Oh, and I have another too, that I’m going to have to finish up, I just realized.

So getting closer to being done!

Romance in July–Photo Art

The picture of the swans are mine!

It’s another busy day. It’s going to be super hot today, maybe storms this afternoon. We might have storms for the weekend.

I did finally manage to type up the scene I wrote while watching the baby at the pool, and the scene I wrote the night before last night and I added 3,000 words yesterday. I’m up to 65K!

I’ll swim this morning, then watch baby so my daughter can swim and if he’s sleeping, I can edit the scenes I typed up yesterday. I think I’ll walk to the pool and if it’s too miserable at 11 heat-wise, my daughter can drop me off at home. I’ve had heat exhaustion when I was 20 while doing army ROTC maneuvers and I’ve had related heat injuries since then, so I have to be really careful about not getting myself in a bind again.

Okay, I’m off to walk, then work on the story, and then probably walk to the pool.

Knight on a Mission

Well, little one was dropped off at 7 am. I was out trying to kill plants growing in the driveway and sidewalk, so I wasn’t planning on her being here THAT early. We took our walk in the heat and then we’re going swimming.

Before the pool opens, it’s time to blog and start typing my notes from last night. I think I wrote a final scene. Yay! I still need to add to 2 more and add more to the epilogue, but it’s getting closer to being done.

Okay, getting ready for the pool. It’s going to be a wild day.
