Hot Pink Frost Bear!

I finally made the bears yesterday, well, five yesterday, just need to do some embroidery on paws, and need to make a Campbell bear also and did a little writing too.

This new fur bear sold! Well, all did except for Lavender Frost Bear shown below.

So I hope to finish those up today and do more writing and ship bears on Monday. I have to take my Daisy granddaughter on a Girl Scout nature hike today. Her momma had another engagement, not realizing she would have a Girl Scout activity right before Christmas. lol. I can use the exercise and I was a Girl Scout leader for my daughter’s troop and regional director at one time. In my wildest dreams, I didn’t think I’d be doing GS activities again. lol But it will be fun.

Rubber Plant Trimming

My rubber plant really took off like crazy, so when I brought it in before we get the weather in the teens, I decided I really need to cut it back. Well, I hate throwing away plants or parts of plants, so I started a new one. Hopefully it will take hold. Then I will have to find a home for it. I still need to cut back the big one. It kept tipping over outside.

My tomato plants are going to expire I’m afraid too. The one is full of tomatoes. I guess I need to pick them even though they’re green. The same with the bell peppers!

Bears and Books and Brrr…

So I have 7 bears in progress! I’ll share them when they’re done.

I had little one here yesterday and then was working on bears, so I didn’t work on Bear in Mind. That’s my goal today. And to work on bears. I don’t work on them for a while, and then I get hooked on them and want to finish them. Like wanting to finish a book!

I’m off to work! Stay warm and toasty. It’s cold here!

Recycled handsaw Christmas wreaths on a barn door in Salado, Texas, and old stagecoach town. I loved to visit there and one year, I saw these and had to take a picture and then created a scene with it!

I’m picking up my granddaughter from school early. They have a half day. We’re going to have ice cream after lunch and then make sock snowman. We’re having our monthly sleepover. Someday, when the toddler is older and sleeps through the night, I can have him stay over. But for now, he loves his two days he spends with me during the week.

Okay, off to get some work done because once I pick up my granddaughter, it’s a play day for Grandma too!

I had to babysit last night while my granddaughter and her mom went to Girl Scouts so I didn’t get to do as many edits as I wanted to. I couldn’t believe my 18 month old grandson wanted to read 14 books. He really sits and listens. I guess it’s never too early to read.

We had 2″ of rain and shipped bears and books. I was rolling a bag filled with packages, shouldering another and the postal annex owner said to his clerk to check me into the B&B. LOL

Okay, so today, it’s a writing day!! I meant for it to be yesterday too, but….

Bears Finished!

And I’m back to bears–or I should say a bear book. I worked on edits last night so I could remember the story and build on it. I should be showing a picture of bears!

But I don’t think anyone will mind looking at a couple of loving wolves. Created with Midjourney AI.

So at 2:30 we had a wild, severe thunderstorm and I had to get up to pull the plug on my computer. Thunder was crashing down all around us. We had 3 1/2″ of rain yesterday. They had a tornado in Grapevine, Texas. And a rare snowstorm was seen in Arizona.

While I was cutting out some new teddy bears yesterday, my little grandson saw some fur flying as I folded up the yardage on each of the colors. They’re white and a color combined so it’s like white fur falling and he kept stepping back and saying, “Snow!” lol But he didn’t want to get in that cold wet stuff. Not that he’s ever seen any for real yet.

Okay, I’m off to work. Kids are doing all kinds of fun Christmas activities for their last 2 1/2 days of school, so no lunch with Grandma. But I’m off to ship all the bears and books and such today, playing Terry Santa.

No Time to be Creative

Oh, wait, I’m working on bears and books so that’s creative! 🙂

But artwork, no time for. I meant to do something with this cute cat, but I had baby all Monday and then was getting all the winners’ packages to ship and finishing up another bear. I have one more to finish. So I want to do that today.

We’re supposed to have rain all day, so we’ll see what happens. It was supposed to start last night, but it didn’t. So maybe it will slip away. Sometimes it does. It’s going to be back up to 77 today.

I hope to get back to work on Bear in Mind!

So I’ve been working hard to get winners’ stuff ready to ship and need to finish a couple of bears and finishing edits on Her Wolf for the Holidays, the Highland Lachlan MacQuarrie’s story and turn it in.

But now I have baby here today. I was showing him old Christmas animated cards I’ve received and he says the robins, pheasants, and peacocks are all ducks. Quack quack. lol

Okay, I’m off to try and get some stuff packed up to ship if I can. He’s still sick so clingy. It means I can’t get as much done, but he’s so huggable so I don’t mind.
