I created the composite for a creative challenge. The theme was humor. At first, I was like…I don’t even know how to create humor in art. Though my writing reflects it in my stories. But that comes naturally. I like subtle humor, rather than in-your-face humor. So then I had it! The meerkat with the unique perspective that saved the day!
I have been writing on Night of the Vampire, still trying to reach the end. It will be 60K before I know it. I wrote 3,000 words yesterday and I’m over 58K now. Yay!!
Okay, off to get some things done. The dogs want to be fed. The birds want to be fed. I need to clean out the bird baths and fill up the water fountain. My son and daughter-in-law got me a Dyson vacuum cleaner for Christmas and I have been having a ball vacuuming. I’m weird, right? But it’s amazing how well it works!!! I’ve been dragging a shop vac around for 20 years because I could never find a vacuum cleaner that did a good job. Neither did it though. So I will be doing more vacuuming–for fun!
Have a nice uniquely different day!

I’m up to 54K on Night of the Vampire! Hopefully, I’ll finish it this upcoming week. But…maybe not. With Christmas elves dancing in my head, maybe not.
Have a fun day!

I took the photo of him at the International Wolf Center.
Half a day of school for my granddaughter today so we’re going to get Jack-in-the-Box chicken nuggets, her favorite, have a picnic at the park and maybe meet up with some of her friends to play. We’re also going to our favorite ice cream place and making 7 Layer Bars–not fattening, of course, after that. We made them last year and she loved it and everyone loved eating them. So it’s our annual thing now.
We’re supposed to have rain today, so it looks like the rain has been delayed enough to have our picnic at the park, yay! Off to feed the birds, the dogs, and write a little and then go to the store for some more items that I have to pick up.
Hope your day is wolfishly great!

Having some fun with dragon art. I’m at 50K on Night of the Vampire! I made my goal! Woohoo! I keep thinking about the final battle scene or however this ends. I’m not sure. I just need to finish it.
Hope you all have a great day!!!

Today is gingerbread house day. My granddaughter and I make a gingerbread house every year, but this year’s looks like it suffered an earthquake. We use the precut gingerbread houses, but this one, the walls were sooooooo thick, that they wouldn’t stick together, the icing so difficult to squeeze out that we had a royal mess.
Did we have fun? Yep! And that’s the key! If I have a chance, I’ll take a picture and show them off tomorrow. But today, we’re going to the school district’s gingerbread house party where all the school kitchens create their own houses according to some theme.
I’m off to get ready for my grandson’s arrival. If I can, I should reach 50K on vampire today, which was my goal. Woohoo! But I still have to finish it so it will be longer.
Have a super cool day!

I took the photo of the swans somewhere. lol I don’t recall now. I loved their reflections.
I managed 2,000 words on Night of the Vampire yesterday! So I’m only 1 day behind on word count goal, but last night, I couldn’t quit thinking about it and ended up getting up and writing more and editing more. Soooo, I need to finish this so I won’t keep thinking about it in the middle of the night. 🙂
Then I’m off to expand a novella, Dreaming of the Highland Wolf. My publisher decided not to add novellas to my re-releases so I can now just publish this myself. But when I was reading it, I thought it could be expanded to a novel. So that’s the next project I need to complete.
I have errands to run, but otherwise, I’m having a vampire day. Hope yours is great!

I took the photo of the majestic snow leopard at the Omaha zoo. It’s not often I can get a shot where they’re on the move. Usually, the animals are just sleeping, or lying down, but not doing…something. Much more interesting when they’re out and about.
Little one is on his way, trying to get stuff done before he arrives. I’m at 45K on Night of the Vampire. I ended up writing 6,000 words this weekend, so made up for one of the days I was behind. I hope to get 1,000 words on each of the days my grandson is here, and that will give me another day that I was behind. My goal is 50K on this book, so I’m nearly there!
Leap into your day with purpose!

I believe I took the photo of the cat at the Cameron Park Zoo, Waco, Texas.
Supposedly it got to 33 degrees last night. I need to winterize my sprinkler system. It’s supposed to be 34 tomorrow morning. We had some high winds last night, no hail, like they predicted, so I was glad for that! I don’t think we even got rain. But our temperatures are staying in the 60s-70s in the afternoons, 40s in the mornings now, except for today. Our high is 58, so it seems like winterizing isn’t needed. However, it would be awful if the weather changed and I wasn’t prepared!
I’m off to work on Night of the Vampire. I’m behind on my writing goal because of stopping to proof Wolf on the Prowl to turn it in, but I managed to write 3,000 words yesterday. We went to see Santa, and they were making donuts for us, and then we ate at MOD pizza. They have a new peppermint chocolate treat that is so good.
Have a fun-loving day!!!
