I didn’t get the memo until too late. Yay on spring!
So we have fires in a forest near our homes. SAN JACINTO COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A wildfire in the Sam Houston National Forest, which prompted evacuation orders in both Montgomery and San Jacinto counties, may have originated from a prescribed burn, according to county officials. That evacuation order has since been lifted.
The Pauline Road Fire has burned 2,360 acres so far. In an update Thursday afternoon, officials said it is 45% contained. SkyEye flew over the area, where no flames but minimal smoke were visible.
I couldn’t see an update this morning, but hopefully it’s contained. That is scary news.
I had the first truly good sleep since I’ve been here in the 25 days in the hospital. And I had all good news about the chemo working on the cancer cells. Which probably helped me to finally sleep well last night.
They still are waiting for more microscopic results on the bone marrow biopsy, but it’s the preliminary results were great.
I’m off to begin editing Protecting the White Bear’s printed mss. My darling daughter printed it out for me so I could do line by line edits. It’s easier to see off the computer, where I might need to add more details or make sure I don’t have a scene out of order, and it’s just part of my editing process.
Hope your day is going great!!! Once I had a good sleep and good news, I’m raring to go.

Hi Terry
That is good news. And you have been able to sleep. Still I hope you are getting plenty of rest, you need it in order to heal.
I myself was a yo-yo dieter. I had a complete hysterectomy in 1997 and the in 2011 had my overies removed. No cancer. But I did not give myself time to heal from my surgeries. Consequently I again started to gain weight.
2019 Could not lose a pound. I the found out I had eating disorder. I stopped the dieting. I gained a lot but plateaued two years later.
I have not gained a pound since. I only eat when I am hungry and when I am full and stopped overeating. I have lost about 20 pounds.
My body needed to heal from all four of my surgeries.
So I know you have to heal from all you are going through from your chemo.
I am still praying for you. May God bless you as He is there with you every step of the way.
God is your true Healer. I am a Messianic Believer. And I know He loves you. Just as I know He loves me.
I care about you. Take it easy, get plenty of rest.
At least you have everything on your typewriter you can edit easily. Loved your picture of the goose and baby in the egg.
Love Sheila Claire
yes!!! I slept for 2 hours for a nap even yesterday. You really need to sleep to heal.
I was a chocoholic. I feel so much better that I’m not eating all that sugar. 25 grams was all I should be eating. Otherwise, I eat sensibly and exercise, yet the sugar caused all the weight gain. So I’m feeling great and glad to be getting into shape during these trying times. Plus, I really feel this has changed my life around where I struggled with my weight and want to really watch it from now on.
Thanks for your prayers!! They are working.
I’m so glad you lost weight, I know with me, I feel so much better. One thing too is I eat smaller portions at the hospital–half portions, something I need to do when I get home. Thanks on the picture!! It brings me joy to create fun little, whimsical clip art pictures and share them. 🙂 <3
Good Morning Terry
I hope you had a good day yesterday. And a good nights sleep last night.
Here I am and ii is 3:37 am and once again I am awake.
I can only lay so long in bed as my right hip aches from arthritis.
I am thinking about Iris the Osprey. Hoping she returns to her nest Hellgate, Missoula, Montana. She is the oldest known Osprey in the World at 30 years of age
last year. For five years she was without a mate.
The last Ospret she raised was Le’le’ 2018. That was the year we my hubby and I started watching Ospreys.
Did you happen the see my Facebook page and seen my logo which Iris.
Anyway lo and behold a male Osprey showed up.
He got a named Finnigan. He sky danced and brought her a fish. The year before he had become her Beau where Iris taught him that he needed t bring her a fish,
It is how they get accepted as a mate.
She excepted him.
They raised two Osprets. They all flew south to their Winter grounds.
Do you happen to have an Osprey (a Fish Hawk) nest near you in Texas. They only eat fish. I am hoping and praying that Iris and Finn return.
But Iris is old. Finn is young, so he probably will return.
She usually shows up I early April. We lost two females last year. Both from Montana. We lost Jasper at Banff, Alberta, Canada in 2023.
So here I am thinking of you and Iris and praying for you both.
Heres hoping you have a good day today.
Love Sheila Claire MacDonald
P.S. I have pictures of Iris on my Facebook page below Pierre Poilievre who is the leader of the Conservative Party and is running for Prime Minister of Canada. 🇨🇦
Oh how wonderful about your ospreys. We don’t have any down here, but all kinds of hawks that try to dine on my wild birds. lol I did see two black and white predatory birds, don’t remember what they were called but could never get a very good picture of them. I would love to see the ospreys, or any predator birds. They are beautiful.
I will have to look up your page and see your iris. Love iris. I’ve not been able to do well with them here.
On the arthritis, have you ever tried acupuncture? My grandmother had it bad and she would do that and feel great for a long time.
I’m tired, needed a little more sleep, but I did get about 6.5 hours and that’s so much better than what I was doing.
We have a lot of great blue herons, great white herons, green herons and egrets. I love to see them at the ponds and take pictures of them. 🙂 Thanks for your cheerful posts. I love them!
Hi Terry
I just read your comment back to me after I sent you another. It is so great to hear from you.
I now consume very little sugar now too as I am Pre-diabetic.
Love Sheila
Me too!!! I’m sure that my diet changes will show I no longer am!!! Good for you too. We need to do what’s best for our health for sure. I love your comments. They brighten my day. 🙂
