The Fairy Godmother & Her Faithful Pup

If anyone is wondering, I use kits to make these up. It’s fun and easy when I don’t have a lot of time. I still do a lot of work on them with my Photoshop skills, too.

So I can’t close my mind down at night. ugh. I need to take a nap later, but once I’m up early in the morning, I’m up.

I was thinking of the next polar bear story I will write next year, but I want to write up the notes for the concept this morning before I forget them. I also had more ideas on The Chosen Fae, which I need to jot down.

See why I can’t sleep? The Energizer Bunny charges my mind in the middle of the night, which is good, but I just wish it would do it when I’m awake. Well, I guess I was awake. So, in the middle of the day instead!!

Mary’s Curious Little Lamb

They gave me something to help me sleep last night. I ended up with about 7 hours of sleep and feel great. Normal!

So I’m raring to go this morning.

The bone marrow biopsy is always harrowing, and I had it yesterday afternoon, stressed to the max, but I want the guy who did it to do all of them! He was sooo good. I don’t have half the bruising or discomfort I had with the other 2 I’ve done. It will take a week or two to see if the chemo is actually destroying the cancer cells in the bone marrow, but they might know a little tomorrow preliminarily. I just need to do what I need to do and keep on trucking and think positvively.

When I’m Supposed to be Sleeping…

I got wrapped up in a fae story I have wondered how to start. I probably won’t write all of it this year as I’m finishing up Protecting the White Bear, want to get a Halloween novella in, and need to write Stolen Heir for December. But…. you never know!

A Gathering of Alaskan Shifters

They have to be shifters or there would be a picking order of eating going on here!

Wrote the ending scene and the epilogue is done. Just need to see if my darling daughter will be willing to print out Protecting the White Bear so I can really do some edits. She’s so busy with family and work and coming to see me, that I hate to ask her for anything else. But I’m so excited about getting on with editing. I think I still need to add some more minor scenes, but the book is nearly done!

Little Polar Bear Cub Waiting for Mom, Dad, & Sis

I had so many light bulbs going off in my head last night, when I needed to be sleeping, but couldn’t anyway, that I’m excited to say I figured out the ending of Protecting the White Bear. And wrote some other important scenes.

I still need to write the ending and hope I don’t forget it before I have a chance!! But I love to finally figure out where I’m going with a story. And it’s almost finished. Of course there’s the editing to do, but after writing the story from start to finish, that’s really the fun part.

Upset Boy Who Has Lost His Way

Stay put, young man, help will come! Plus, he has his best friend with him to take care of him, though for the moment he’s more interested in the bird.

They put me on steroids because of all the horrible swelling and painful lesions I was having, and the great news is that they stopped all of that and the immature white blood cells are gone, no longer mutating into new cancer cells as of 3 days ago. The other great news about steroids is I finally have clarity on the story!

Woohoo!!! I wrote probably 4,000 words last night, vital scenes to add to Protecting the White Bear. I just was so excited to finally get some ideas that are working.

The downside of the steroids is that I had an hour and a half of sleep. I can’t sleep. But otherwise, no fevers and that was causing nausea, so doing sooooo much better, and my dr. is weaning me off the steroids, probably the last day today, which makes 3, and she gave me the lowest dose there was. I really needed it. The left side of my face was swelling something terrible, under the chin on the left side, couldn’t sleep because of the excruciating pain on the lesions on my head. So the steroids took care of all that and I felt normal again.

She said it was like I was in the middle of the battlefield between the chemo and the cancer cells and she was removing me from the battle. Which suited me fine. I was on the sidelines cheering the chemo on.

And of course, when I wasn’t thinking of Protecting the White Bear I was thinking about the vampire run hospital that cures patients of cancer while taking their blood. I mean, you know this all has to come up in a story, right? Only pararnormalized.

Okay, I have to eat, and then it’s back to writing until I can finally sleep.
