Disposal Rusted Through

It’s nearly Easter!! And my son and DIL and baby are coming soon, and my disposal is leaking water.

So I spent the last couple of days cleaning out the cabinet under the sink, drying it, drying the rubber mat I had on it, though the water leaked under the mat, cleaning the rubber mat, and then getting clear plastic containers to store all the cleaners and such in.

I tackled the bathroom, too. I still need to work on the other, but I found that I have four bottles of hydrogen peroxide, probably a thousand bandages, tons of body lotions, five containers of CLR, etc.

Does that ever happen to you? You can’t find something so you buy it again? And again? And again?

So now I have to look in the plastic tubs to get what I need and I will see I have ALL that stuff so no need to get more of it.

I did manage to get 1000 words written on Wolf Heir while I was at the hospital for 4 hours and typed up the notes when I got home last night.

The plumber is coming this afternoon to replace the disposal. Then I can put all the plastic tubs under the sink and voila! It’s neat and tidy!

Hope your day is going just fine!!!

  1. Hi Terry
Yes that has happened to me.
Came home to see my basement floor covered in water. The hot water tank had rusted out. What a mess.
Pretty near everything standing in water had to be taken out. Nothing like having to pull up a rug and the underlay had to be scraped up. What a messy job.
Hopefully today my back spasms are gone. Its been a week now. Trouble is at my age they stay just on the verge of coming back fast. Two weeks between this time.
    Loved your yellow rose.
    Love Sheila

    • Oh, no, Sheila, on the hot water tank. I had the drip pan rust out under the AC unit and water everywhere, and an electrician said he’d have to replace the whole unit, run it through the ceiling instead of on the first floor. I got a second opinion. The next guy told me the drip pan had rusted and just replaced that. The AC was fine!

But we had water in the hallway carpet and had to replace.

That’s great on your back spasms being gone. Hope they stay away forever!! The yellow roses are beautiful. Have an amazing day, Sheila!
