Vitex (Chaste Tree) Montrose Purple in Bloom

My daughter and I had seen these trees/shrubs at different places, and we both love purple flowers. It’s supposed to be drought-resistant when established. It’s known as a “pollinator queen,” attracting hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. We bought them as shrubs because we couldn’t fit the ones trained as trees into her car. lol So we’re training ours into trees.

To begin with, it was just the little white blossoms until the flowers bloomed. I was afraid we’d gotten the wrong variety.

I’m hoping it continues to thrive through this summer and beyond!

Finished writing Bear in Pursuit and today I need to start reading it from beginning to end.

Hope you have a purplish fun day!

  1. Hi Terry
I really like the Chaste Bush you put up.
Sadly I cannot have one, it would not live through our winters, as I looked up on Google.
So enjoy yours. I put it in with my Flowering Trees with my lilacs on my Camera Roll in my iPad Air.
It is nice and sunny here today. The only plants I have up are of two of Day Lily’s. By the end of May I should have some more plants up and blooming. My lilacs are all in bud.
I am on my third week of my regimen for my hair loss.
I have already stopped the shedding of hair.
Still waiting for the itch to stop, and hopefully soon.
It will be something to crow about.
It will take at least six months before my hair to grow back. This I am looking forward to.
Still no books coming from the States. So sad 😞
You have a great day today, my Friend.

    • I love lilacs. I’m glad your daylilies are coming up. I don’t think we can grow them here. I’ve tried lavender, which is supposed to do well here, but the seeds didn’t come up.

Great on stopping the shedding of hair!! Enjoy your day!!
