Blanket Flowers and Black Eyed Susans

I scattered seeds around the electric units between my neighbor’s and my property last year because my hedge had died, and so I planted new ligustrum, but it will take them a while to grow bigger. The little round hedge hides the electrical boxes. So what better thing to do? Add some colorful flowers in the meantime. And this year, they came up looking great! They love full sun. I planted a bunch in the backyard but they were so shaded, that they bit the dust.

I’ve been working on a couple of bears for my new grandson. I’m just cutting them out for now, then it’s to the sewing room to sew them up on the sewing machine. They’re visiting at the end of the month, so I want to have them done before they get here.

I woke in the middle of the night, thinking of all the things I needed to do–so took the time to write them all down so I wouldn’t keep thinking about them. It works!

Off to cut out the 2nd bear and get into more mischief.

Have a great day!! And remember to smell the flowers!! Or at least revel in their beauty. For a moment.
