CHRISTMAS WOLF SURPRISEis a must-read for Spear fans and brings back some characters you got to know and love and new ones who will tug at your heart. This reader couldn’t put it down and was sad to see the story come to an end.

We had 10 1/2″ of rain yesterday. I finished the author interview and turned it in. I made 5 partially completed bears. Some need their ears sewn on, all need noses, and two need to have their paws embroidered for an order, but they’re getting there. I wrote a 1,000 words on Bear in Mind. It’s at 66,000. Woohoo! I’m shooting for 70K, but just writing the final scenes and then the fun starts. I edit all along to figure out what details need to be added, etc. But when the book is finally written, the fun part is reading it all the way through to see what needs to be fixed further. But it’s done, a story from beginning to end. And that’s what I love.

Baby will be here today. We’re supposed to get rain from 7-10 this morning, in the evening, and pretty much all day tomorrow and the same for Wednesday.

Okay, I’m off to work on something before the baby arrives. Did all my chores, so hoping to get a little reading in and then maybe work on the bears or the story when he takes his nap.

I’m still working hard on Roxie’s story. I got a little further yesterday. It’s up to 96K. Eighty was minimum.

I’m originally from the West Coast so I loved setting the red wolf pack in Oregon. I also have a gray wolf pack in California, both places I’ve lived, and one in Washington, where my dad was from. I have no idea why, but I was dreaming last night that I was telling someone that whenever I hear the wind rustling through a pine forest I think of California. I truly felt that way when I lived in Florida and they had pine forests too. It brought back the memories of the scent of pine and the sound of the pine needles dancing in the breeze. I felt both comforted and at a loss. I longed to return to California, but it was never to be. Except in my dreams and in my stories too! And that’s good enough for me.

With CHRISTMAS WOLF SURPRISE, Terry Spear proves she writes some of the sexiest nice guy heroes in Romancelandia. Although this is a paranormal romance, CHRISTMAS WOLF SURPRISE is very much a story about family dynamics and will appeal to romance fans who appreciate stories about a sweet hero trying to merge his life with that of the woman he loves. This story has all the feels. The llama drama was a cute touch. I look forward to reading the next installment in this Red Wolf series.

Now I’m off to work on some more of Roxie Wolff’s story out of Silver Town. It’s up to 85K. Yay!!! And I have a way to go. But it’s getting closer now to THE END.

It’s a beautiful 58 degrees and because of the low humidity this week, 58 means 58. I actually walked 4 miles yesterday–to the school to have lunch with my granddaughter and then to pick her up after school and walk home. She said she was hot. Her legs were tired. Carry me.

But I kept telling her we were almost home. 🙂 And then we were! It was 84, and just fine. It’s supposed to be 83 today, so I’ll walk again. When we had the high humidity, we’d have to add 6-10 degrees to that for the heat index because it would feel so much hotter. I had so much fun walking! Next week it will be back up to 90. *sigh*
